The Future is Rewilding - George Monbiot

In conversation with George Monbiot - British journalist, author, and environmental and political activist. Here is his take on why we rewidling is important. (Interview by Sam Chevalier)
"Everything that's important to us from the human body up to the atmosphere and everything else in between is a complex system and complex systems operate on vast time scales but can rapidly accelerate towards collapse.
If we don't turn things round very quickly then I'm likely to see ecosystems collapse in my lifetime. We've got to stop this from happening, and the only realistic approach is system change.
Rewilding means the mass restoration of ecosystems and rewilding is one of those crucial tools for pushing us back into a safe equilibrium state.
If we get together in big enough numbers we can restore harmony to the land, and harmony to me, looks like rewilding. Everyone needs to be involved in this, pay attention to this, this cannot be neglected."

George Monbiot will be viewed extremely positively in many decades. The ecosystems will collapse, the measurements are in, and people dont want to hammer down on the real solutions, because people get offended that their lifestyles should end. Except Monbiot, he tells it like it is.
