- After being separated from our animals for three sad months, we were now finally able to go to Korea and bring Spudgy and Meemers home with us to Japan!

@Met3lAngel I don't know about other cats, but my cat definitely gives a shit who is home with him. He's friendly with everyone, but he adores me and pitches a fit when I am gone for more than a few hours. He is pretty much inconsolable until I get home and give him a cuddle. He's fond of my mom too and runs down to greet her when she gets home. He doesn't care too much what my siblings do though xD

I also have a chronic illness and I want to thank Martina for showing her cane, because I never see people with canes and I was feeling so alone and depressed until I saw her acting so casual about it. It gives me courage!
Virginie Et Des Jeux I too use a cane I have since I was 18 and at the end of this month I’ll be 26. So that’s 8 years of people giving weird looks.
Could not stop laughing at the different music used for each animal when they first got into the house!

I love that to. Martina & Simon really spend a lot of time and effort to edit their videos and on the music choices as well. The music is enhancing and not overpowering like some YT vids. Always brings a smile to my face no matter what the topic. They are both such a delight.
When I was in Korea, I brought my cat, Trout. It was no problem bringing him in (other than getting the paperwork in Arabic and arguing with the official that it wasn't English) but on the way back, I had to leave suddenly. A person broke into my apartment and tried to attack me. I got away with a whole lot of bruises, but while Trout's papers were still good, they had taken them on entry. Since you can't transport a live virus across international lines and the rabies shot is technically a live virus, I was freaking out because I had to go and I had to take my cat with me. A kindly vet took one look at my face, gave Trout his vaccine and then backdated the papers so that I could bring him with me. Trout was with me for another fourteen years.

Hoigwai it's kind of the same with my cat luna. She's a Scottish fold like meemers and has a resting bitch face and is indifferent to most things but my 7 guinea-pigs and other cat lucky are all happy and cheerful and luna is all doom and gloom. The contrast makes things 10x funnier

+Simon and Martina I know this feeling. I have sometimes my cats at my parents if I have to do some stuff or travel and gosh I miss them so much everytime! It was totally adorable how Simon was kissing Meemers! It's just what I do to my babies! I love you guys so much! You insipire me a lot with so many things! Thank you! Oh and I don't think you will answer to me but I have to ask about spudgy! How did you dye his fur? :) Is the fur die good of the animals? I don't know so I was wondering if it affects them anyway! He looked totally fabulous with this color of fur tho!

+Ang Weilun Mobility aids are help to keep active and participate in life! A cane shouldn't make you sad, they should make you happy that Martina has found another accommodation and tool to help her live her life how she wants to! In my opinion it is better to be sympathetic about the pain she experiences rather than be sad for the fact that she is using a tool that is likely helping her live a safer, better life than she would without it. I am obviously not speaking for Martina but as fellow disabled person (: Also, mobility aids can be damn cool in my disabled opinion :D
It was all the activities of the day before. But sure all thatloving for those two cuties is makes all the pain go away. Now if she feels sore not only she has Simon to cuddle her but also Spudgy and Meemers. 😄
I had pets who went into "ignore mode" when I re-united with them after an oversea holiday.
I had to leave my two long-haired chihuahua's with strangers for 3 weeks, and when I came to pick them up my darling little Coco, who is quite a character, ignored me for two days. He was obviously pissed at me for leaving him, which was a little heartbreaking, but also rather funny and cute in hindsight.
My other dog was much more forgiving. He just pooped in my bedroom and moved on.

whenever i watch your videos i am reminded of what a beautiful life i wish to live. you all live so happily despite any hardship, love to learn and try new things, are sweet and loving inside and out and inspire me to make the most of this planet we inhabit. I am in love with your lifestyle and sweetness and am so happy to see simon martina meemers and the spudy smile as one. I am hopeful for the simplicities in life and the complexities to come; so i thank you simon and martina for being who you are.

I remember when Meems was small enough to fit entirely in Simon's hand. Wtf happened?
He ate the world. I think he's an adorable, fuzzy black hole. 💜
I did NOT expect to burst into tears watching this, but I totally did. Last night I was having a really, seriously awful day with a lot of intensity (anniversary of a friend's son's death, work struggles, family tensions all meeting at once) and felt so frustrated that I was going to sleep on such a bad note. Then I saw the tweet that this video had come out - and immediately I felt such a rush of relief and joy that tomorrow I'd wake up and have something new and beautiful to look forward to first thing.
Then watching this? Seeing all the little details? The Canadian sticker on the dog carrier and memories of the video where you guys surprised your families with a visit? The big poster of cupcake-Neemers on the wall and remembering how its from your YT event and when you guys had the Eat Your Kimchi mobile designs made? Watching Spudgey sniff his garden for the first time? During the video the suggested vid for when Neems first arrived as a kitten popped up and I watched it midway through, then came back to this, and I was shocked at how emotional the reaction was to see how that tiny kitten from years ago has become a big cat.
Somewhere along the line of stumbling on you guys several months ago then binging almost every single one of your episodes across all channels I've really become so emotionally grateful for the way you guys share your adventures, struggles, and lives with everyone whose curious enough to watch. Moving between the playful and serious moments in life, boldly (at least to me) diving ahead to take on adventure by the horns and not let go... It really is so inspiring and has helped me to put my own life into context, especially since I'm working on borrowed time for my health too.
My partner and I will be moving soon and traveling all over Asia for his work so I'm really grateful I have a frame of reference in a loving, supportive, adventurous couple as we get ready to take on our own adventures. Thank you guys so much for what you do - not just the big adventures, but sharing these amazing family moments with us too.
I'm glad that Martina was comfortable enough to show us a little of the pained side of her. It helps to open our eyes to what we normally don't see in their off-camera lives. When my friend introduced me to their channel I initially had no idea of the pain she lived with until she opened up about her illness (I myself live with a thyroid disorder so I know how much having a hidden illness sucks).
Rest in peace, Spudgy. Simon and Martina, you should be very proud of yourselves that you made his life such a happy and loved one.
My cat was recently put down, on this past Tuesday actually because she was really sick and in a lot of pain, but this really makes me happy to see you guys reuniting with your pets. I'm really glad you have your pets with you in Japan now. Have fun with them! Also Notification squad!

+Elizabeth Piatak Same thing happened to me during Christmas. He was a pekingese just like Spudgy. So when I saw Simon and Martina reunite it made me so happy. Treasure your pets everyone, they don't live as long as us.

Spudgy may not be the most energetic dog in the world, but his joy and love for you is very very apparent. my heart is warmed by this video.
As a person who deeply loves animals and has a huge connection and love for my own, this made me cry.
Meemers hiding under the table lol. That's so typical of cats, my kitty when I left for uni spent the first few weeks crying out and sleeping in my room, my parents sent me videos and it was heartbreaking, but when I finally came back, she ran away and hid! She remembered me soon enough thankfully and is snuggled next to me as I type this :) I hope Meemers and Spudgy settle into Japan life well!

I absolutely love the character voices you have for your pets. Completely adorable and reminds me of when I use to have pets.
cats are notoriously difficult with moves. The best thing to do with cats is introduce them to one room first, for instance a bedroom, where they also get food and drinks, and later on introduce them to other rooms. I had the same with my cat when we moved. She was really scared, so for a while, she only spent time in my room and after she got comfortable enough to go out on her own, she explores the house. After a while, she was zooming around the house without a care in the world. And it was sooo cute how Spudgy reacted to you guys. All sleepy at first and didn't know what was happening, but when he realised his mom and dad were there, he went wild :p

Jesica N I don't remember specifics but she has a certain disease that makes her bones and joints not as rigid and correctly connected as per the norm. So her joints will pop out and it just becomes very difficult for her to travel. She's in almost constant pain. That's why Simon and Martina made the move to Japan, to discover more of the world, see more things, encounter new experiences before it becomes too difficult for Martina to move around and...too late :/.

I can relate to Simon with Meemers. I have a MASSIVE super fluffy cat and although she's old and consistently sick, she's the sweetest angel and I wouldn't give her up for anything.
I have been waiting 2 weeks to see this vid and I am super happy. Spudgy going into puppy mode at the new house and meems grooming simon again warms my lil heart ;0;
