As long as settlement construction continued and some powerful countries could not defend it, he thought about peace
The United Nations has condemned this action and a resolution has been issued
I hope that one day there will be real peace between the Palestinians and Israel

*UN🇺🇳 & UK🇬🇧 must end Israel occupation in West Bank & Golan. UK🇬🇧 responsible in Palestine conflict. Balfour declaration issued by UK(1917), which announced for establishment "national home for Jewish people" in Palestine. At that time, Palestine was teritory Ottoman empire & jews in Palestine were still minority.*

What I learnt is that if peace treaties need to be signed well that's a sure fire bet of approaching conflict and likely war.

They had already fought 3 wars and were in a permanent state of conflict before Oslo. Bet that sounded real smart in your mind.

On the 30th anniversary of the disastrous Oslo Accords, we remember Al-Hakim's words, "Our promise to every orange tree on the land of Palestine. Our promise to every olive tree on the land of Palestine. Our promise to every sprout that grows on the land of Palestine: Our promise is to keep fighting. And fight. And then keep fighting. And keep fighting! For years. For decades. For centuries if necessary."
His immortal words live: "This struggle may last for 100 years or more, so the weak-hearted should step aside."

    Marwan Barghouthi spoke really well👏
You can say his words represent Palestine and supporters of Palestine unlike zionist former justice minister with whom zionists won't agree

Mustafa, you know Israel will never agree to a one state solution where Palestinians have full rights, because then it will no longer be a Jewish state. So why are you harming the cause by distracting?! This only removes the focus from two state solution efforts.

Edward Said wrote of Oslo: "So first of all let us call the agreement by its real name: an instrument of Palestinian surrender, a Palestinian Versailles."
While, in a BBC interview, so-called "dove" Amos Oz crowed "this is the second biggest victory in the history of Zionism.’"

Exactly the same as the other accord... and the one before that... and the one before that one. All for the European colonizers & nothing for the Palestinians.

Historic tragedy that Arafat didn't want 2 states. His hate for Israel were greater.

"The two-state solution is the only way!"
Then there is no way. Israel will destroy Palestine and such experts as this who insisted on the two states will wring their hands and weep and cry and scream, but Palestine will be gone.
The only just solution is a single state that does not segregate one people in bantustans but is instead equal.
