About the Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament
The FIVB Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament will take place in Japan and doubles with the Asian Olympic Qualification tournament. The best ranked Asian team and the top three ranked teams will qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Although both Italy and Japan qualify for Rio together with South Korea and the Netherlands, the top contenders for medals are USA, China, Brazil, Serbia and Russia. It will be interesting to see how these qualifiers fare in Rio. With Japan as 2020 Olympics host, Thailand has its best chance to qualify as an Asian team as there is one less strong contender.
There too many players of Thailand is aged at 30 above, there are just one young player aged 19, this is the most possible opportunity to hit Rio Olympics.
+Catherine Chan The golden generation of older Thai players are unlikely to make it to the 2020 Olympics, but the present team has a few good players such as setter Pornpun, middle blocker Thatdao (a possible captain), etc. If the incoming players can maintain Thailand's present standard, they will have a good chance of qualifying for the 2020 Olympics.
I think Italy would be a big mistery in Olympic with egonu, orro, chirichella. They both still young and they need time to work together more than usual and this qualification tournament is their play in a team.
Hope at least they can be in top 4, (semi-final with brasil, russia, china)
KAZ is also a strong team so don't count them out. Watched their national team plays in AVC this year and it looks like they want to come back in the Olympics again just like in 2008.

It bothers me that they condemn a team as good as the Japanese for the game against Thailand, being that they are only players and are not to blame for what happened. Thailand is a great team, but their coach did have a bad attitude, and that is not their players' fault. Now Thailand lost against the Netherlands and Italy, two teams to which Japan gave them much battle. So enough !!! This is almost a year old. Enough!!
