Scott Oake does ask some awkward questions, but he’s not an athlete that retired and is now in journalism, he’s a journalist. That’s what they are supposed to do…ask the questions that nobody wants to ask but everyone wants to know.
I will say that I have seen him cross the line a few times, but one sticks with me because it made no sense to ask …but sometimes you miss

Who is "Ryan"? I only see Whit and Biz...
Is there an episode of Spittin where Whit explains his disdain for Edmonton? I know he turned into a whipping-boy for fans BUT I was always in his corner. If his beef is with Oiler management, then once again, I'm all-in on his side. But as it stands right now, my feelings are hurt and I don't like Ray. Biz is still & always will be a legend ...
I know they touch on it in the beginning of their interview with Kirby Dach, Dach talks about growing up watching the Oilers play and how much everyone hated Whit, and Whit's just like, "Thank you for proof they hated me!" Why it's still a sore spot would just be speculation, but I don't get the feeling he actually hates Edmonton.
There’s not really much to it, he went from Anaheim (an amazing city to play in) to Edmonton (a viciously cold city in the winter). He had the misfortune of joining the team in the middle of their slump and he became a punching bag for the fans as well on top of playing with injuries. Death by a thousand cuts essentially
