I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
This is a love letter to herself. Herself in Blackpink to her old self. You would see the Rosé in the black and pink dress staring down to the Rosé in white playing the piano while looking at her. And they’re both smiling. It’s a way of saying that no matter how successful you become you always have to be grounded since the most important things are within yourself and the people that matters the most.

I just find it saddening when some "fans" or avid followers has to have something to say with what the girls do or release - as if these were not thought about or even planned with involvement of the Pinks. As I said, we adjust to the artist's pace not the other way around. I am glad they are now on their "looking-for-their-niche and thriving on their own path" for the past years now. Some still are not satisfied, some still find it lacking but I do believe it is their own time and they deserve it. They do not have to shove themselves out there, it just fell into its places and I hope people will see that instead of demand. Happy for Rosé and her successful solo debut.

She didn't talk about love life, nor heartbreak, she talked about reality in life, she expressed her own experiences, she let us see and know her inner turmoils through this song, her confusion towards what really success is, and the transition of Rosé to Rosanne, she's telling that both are her, whatever name she uses, on screen or off screen, she's Roséanne Park, Her realization, her I've always known Rosé as the most emotional development, her growth, she's sharing it all with us one, this song might not have the most powerful beats and hyped tunes but the meaning is very empowering and eye-opening to those who are not sure of what they are fighting for. EVERYTHING WE NEED IS ON THE GROUND!! We do not need to try hard and pressure ourselves, we just need to open our eyes and appreciate it This song is a masterpiece ! #ontheground #Rosé
This song is literally about her. She tells everyone that how she starts her career from 0. She tells us that even she already on the top but she still want to find her true self, like you can see during scene where she write her name Rosé and then Roseanne which her real name, her true self. Even during she playing piano with another Rosé. I think she (Rosé now /wear pink dress) want to look back her past Roseanne (the white shirt) to make sure that she will not lost her true self, happy with her now, and see how struggle she go to the top like right now
The mv tell us that, when we already work hard and get what we deserve, we can't forget about how struggle we are during past life, the most important thing is that we need to look back our true self, and never get blind by the achievement, compliment.

ON THE GROUND explained - It seems like a typical love song but Rosé said in her vlive an hour before the M/V's release that people were surprised when they saw the direction she went in because it was not exactly a love song.

ROSÉ explained - "Basically the song is kind of about looking for answers in life for a purpose in life, and I feel like people especially these days, can relate to it, sometimes when you're always kind of on that roll, you kind of forget to take care of what actually matters to you most, and it's just a song that says everything we need is already within ourself. There's no need to go out and look for it."

MV explained - The "You and I" that Rosé sings about in On The Ground is actually about her and her past self. This song is about her development and change in life to a more lavish level but still missing something that actually also matters to her. She sings "You find out that your gold's just plastic." This means that the new life she has now is not as great as she expected it/not as valued as her own life. When she writes "Rosé" on the mirror that's her as an Artist but then it makes a flashback , written where she only just a little "Roseanne" (her Real Name). This shows her transformation from her past self to who she is now. Then right after the mirrors, we see Rosé in the black+pink dress looking at her younger self playing the piano and being happy for her

it still feels unreal. it's almost like this is a dream.. i think it's because we were wanting a solo for her but it just didn't happen for so long that i kinda accepted that it wouldnt happen and i wouldnt see the day. but we finally got it and it doesnt feel REAL!!! it's phenomenal and i love that she got to make it her own.

Rosé has a special relationship with the ground. She is also known as "the ground girl" because in a lot of MV/songs she was giveng the dancing part on the ground. There were a lot of meme of her on the ground. In DDU DU DDU DU Jisoo makes fun of herself because people criticized her funny legs moves while dancing by falling down and Rosé gave us a different side of what everyone was expecting by shooting and making herself looking down on us (this time we are on the ground). Her new solo is titled "on the ground" and in the MV we hear her singing "everything i need is in on the ground". I love the meaning of this song. Even if she is Rosé, the idol, she's still the humble girl Roseanne. Her fame and popularity can't replace what she has on the ground: family, friends, loved ones and so on. Quick theory: this song shows how Rosè’s life was on the ground and she aimed for the clouds, and then when she got there, she wants to go back to the ground cuz she figured that Rosanne is who she truly is.... you can see the part where it says Roses are dead, love is fake...and the word love on the ground meaning that she can’t get it as a kpop idol who aimed for the clouds...hope this helped relay the important message!
