I adore Nigeella for many reasons. Her beauty, personality, even including her diction. Her use of language got me noticing how bland and undescriptive modern English is.
I made this recipe but I added a packet of Lipton french onion soup mix to the chicken and omitted the water and used store bought chicken broth. OMG HEAVEN.
I like the balance of crust on the top and bottom of a chicken pot pie. I don't know how we ever got away from that! Chicken breast or thigh is simply a personal preference which I am certainly privileged to have. I prefer breast because it is cleaner in flavor since chickens are inherently very dirty creatures. YM
I really hope this was a bit of an invention for the show, but it's HILARIOUS to think her friend rang her up during filming and the first thing she thought to do was put her on national television.
Worst way to make noodle soup. Bloated noodles with almost no broth, just super-salty concentrated liquid with a hodgepodge of bland veggies. Asian noodles should not be made this way. It'd the equivalent of microwaving a pot roast with frozen veggies and passing it off as a Sunday roast.
That's what's so great about us humans. We each have our own tastes and preferences. What I like may not be what you like. But life's too short to be excessively rude about what someone else likes to eat. Grow up and get a life.

I’m comforted by Nigellas voice and mannerism as she prepares her food. I couldn’t eat most of this delicious foods because it’s way too fattening and unhealthy though. lol. But I love watching her show very calming effect on my soul. She’s great. Wish I had a friend like her.

I'll give you the recipe for American chocolate chip cookies. 2 sticks unsalted butter room temp. 1 and a half cup brown sugar. 1.5 TSP pure vanilla extract. 2 TBSP Carmel sauce. 2 cups flour sifted 2 large eggs 2.5 cups chocolate chips 2 TSP baking powder. In a large bowl combine butter sugar vanilla and Carmel sauce with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy add the eggs one at a time and mix add chocolate chips. In separate bowl combine all dry ingredients and add gradually to the butter mixture stop mixer when soft dough forms. Spoon onto backing sheet about 2.5 inches apart bake 375 for 10-14 minutes. Let cool 3-5 minutes and enjoy.
Oh for… There was no outfit change. She merely put on the denim jacket she was carrying when she left the house and then took it off for the baking scene.
Penmanship and cursive have been kicked to the curb and replaced with lazy printing. Nigella's daughter is left handed, which can be more difficult, but she's writing in cursive instead of printing. Now, not sure what her handwriting has to do with exams.

As much as I love Nigella, I agree that that part is cringe-worthy. There are similiar moments in Kitchen (the series she did after Express), where the "guests" are super cringe and corny. Which is a shame, as both Express and Kitchen have some of her best recipes. Her older series felt more authentic, because all the guests there were family and friends she genuinely knew and felt comfortable with. For Express and Kitchen, it seemed to be a mixture of friends and extras; in other words: complete strangers. But from Nigellisima till now, she is with familiar people (and is much more relaxed with them).
Only have good things to say about this lady. She instantly cheers me up. A total good vibe from her.

I've baked for over 60 years and never saw carmel sauce in any American recipe for chocolate chip cookies.
