Hi, I'm British and the trick to our food is to put in lots of added flavour! I always use vegetable stock powder instead of salt in the cooking process, substitute black pepper with red hot cayenne pepper and use plenty of fresh herbs, like thyme or rosemary. Hi Kat, If you prefer lamb to beef you can also make a traditional English Shepherd’s pie which is much the same as cottage pie apart from the beef. It is traditional pub food with a pint 🍺. It’s lovely to sit by an open fire in an old pub and have what I call cosy food. Sadly a lot of our old pubs are slowly disappearing. Love your videos and your merchandise ❤. That's a real shame that it was a food dissapointment. We do have some great foods, but the older generation definitely make things more traditionally, which is a salt and pepper only kind of vibe

I’m from the UK and can honestly say that British food is the worst. I grew up on roast dinner, cottage pies and shepherd's pies and it is all just bland unseasoned meat with gravy and potatoes. I’m in my 30s now and stay away from those meals 😅 most people can’t understand how a British person doesn’t like British food 😂 I love everything pumpkin though, pumpkin pie is my fave dessert but you can’t get it in this country 😞 so I have to make it.
