For me your outfit and overall styling is on point for interview.
In MU, I just observed in the recent years that they incorporate their national costume in their interview outfit. Or anything that symbolizes their country. Catriona in butterfly sleeves is the most prominent.

Hello, I’m just finding this video. The advice you gave was extremely helpful, but I was wondering if for NAM, in the Miss Division, if wearing a blazer dress with feathers or accents, is a choice you think would be acceptable for Interview and Introduction?

What do you think about the: tweed style suits? Blouse and Pencil Skirts? For a pre teen contestant.
My concern for my daughter is she's 10(11 in April) but she's a lot taller and thicker (athletic build) than most girls her age. How would you suggest styling her age appropriately since little girl clothes don't fit her. And juniors/women's clothes are grown looking... I'm at a loss 😥

Great episode. I was waiting for culturally inspired interview outfits but it’s not covered. I think I’ve seen clips of a miss universe with delegates from India and Korea (pageant in the past) wearing traditional outfits in the interview portion.
Thanks, I didn't cover those because they're rare and usually only seen at international levels. I wanted to share general examples, so any contestant can find something similar for her competition.

Maybe you could try to record your voice and adjust the volume of your voice up to the level you think that you can be heard clearly but not shouting.

I respectfully disagree!!!! As a pageant judge in many systems including USA I believe you are wrong wrong wrong! Pageants are won or lost in interview. Its typically the first impression the judges get of you! First impressions are lasting impressions. Your interview outfit is the MOST Important wardrobe decision. Evening gown is secondary. By the time the judges see you in Gown the decision is made in most instances. Please viewers, focus on Interview wardrobe. Style, FIT, Color and appropriateness for the age and system youre competing in. Stand Out! Judges rarely remember what gown you wore but they remember how you looked in Interview!
Every judge has a different opinion. I consider fit, style, color, age appropriateness as well. But I wouldn't deduct points from a contestant with an excellent interview because she wore an outfit that I didn't love. In the same way, no one wins extra points from me if they're wearing my favorite interview outfit. I also greatly take into consideration that not every contestant has the same monetary resources. Custom, or very well constructed outfits, can cost upwards of $500. If a contestant can't afford that, I won't count it against her.

@@DaniWalker First Impressions matter! As someone who has HIRED dozens of business professionals and judged 100’s of pageant contestants (who are interviewing for a job) that impression in the interview room is long lasting! You dont need to spend tons of money on an interview outfit because last time I checked the price tag isnt judged. But you made it sound like its not important and that is irresponsible of you! Gown is last thing a judge sees typically and their decision in most cases is already made! So its not as important! Same rule applies though, the price tag is not judged. I do want to add, regarding interview attire, ive seen far too many of these “custom” jump suits which are poorly fitted and of questionable quality. Too tight in spots and too loose in others with hems coming undone. Contestants id recommend you be very careful with these! That is all.

@@msrain1235 shoes aren’t important really. They just need to compliment the outfit and not distract! If my eyes are drawn to her shoes they are probably the wrong kind. One girl wore rhinestone studded heels in interview. NEXT! So distracting and not complimentary to her overall appearance. Small open toe, ive got no issue with it!
