We love our animal shows in the UK so give them voices and a sense of humour and your onto a winner. Creature comforts was animated talking animals but that was a funny show aswell.
Hi Lisa Smith, I absolutely agree. Creature Comforts was amazing! Filmed in claymation, stop and go. Like the wonderful Wallace and Gromet films. Creature Comforts took real life interviews and made puppets out of them. Just explaining for the US audience. Deff worth a watch! 😊 👍
😂 so true, British humour is what it is ... The BBC put these on as segments between programmes, we do love to laugh ! And our cherished comedians are all here.. Sarah Millican and Rhod Gilbert are my faves 😂❤
@@catshez I'm slowly learning that 'British' humour is not appreciated around some parts of the world (when I read comments). They think it is rude, harsh and mean. Who knew? I think we are fucking hilarious 😂🤣♥️
TV Personality and Zoo Warden Johnny Morris was the origin of animal voice overs in the late 60s/70s educating children about animals on BBC Children's hour.
This is from a show called Walk On The Wild Side, I think. The “Alan!” bit became a bit of an early meme. I love squirrels. They’re so cute with their nervous disposition.
@pauldenby878 I remember both - Johnny Morris was amazing. Nick Park's (Wallace and Gromit etc) animation for Creature Comforts was the best by far since J Morris.
Its sad but I don't think creature comforts was that long ago in my mind. Yep loved the henpecked, often literally, humour of Johnny Morris and his Welsh accent back in the day. Think we are showing our age I even remember AM in the days of B & W TV.
Hello Joel and pals. The thing about visiting US is all those prairie dogs shouting my name repeatedly! Zebras display camouflage, but you see colours and assume the predators do. Also the idea is to not give a simple outline, especially at a distance in a herd. Check out camouflage on WW1 ships.
I think with Zebras, when there in a heard, the stripes makes it hard to differentiate an individual Zebra. So it looks like one big mass of stripes, so it’s a little harder for predators to pick of individuals.
“It’s like Piccadilly Circus” is a common saying which just means “it’s really busy”. Piccadilly Circus is a big road interchange (roundabout) in London. I don’t know why it is so often talked about as an idea of busy traffic. It was the location of the final scene in “An American Werewolf in London”.
Nobody even comes close to Tony Baker for animal voice overs. Good to see Stefan again, the three of you together just seems right. I hope his studies are going well, he deserves all success for his hard work. Also, in comparison I hope it doesn't mean that you and Arturo aren't studying as much as you need to.
Just in case it hasn't been said already, when lions hunt they single out one prey and go for it. The stripes on a zebra make it difficult for lions to single one out (especially when the herd is in motion), making the hunt more difficult for the lion.
Thermoregulation has long been suggested by scientists as the function of zebra stripes. The basic idea is that black stripes would absorb heat in the morning and warm up zebras, whereas white stripes reflect light more and could thus help cool zebras as they graze for hours in the blazing sun. Survival in the wild often hinges on the ability to evade predators. Zebra stripes serve as a form of anti-predator camouflage. The contrasting black and white patterns break up the zebra's outline, making it harder for predators to single them out from the surroundings.
I remember seeing a pigeon crash into a building and fall maybe three or four storeies. He must have been hurt but the look on his face looked like he did it as a stunt to impress his friends. If he could could talk he might have said something like "Well, I did it, guys. Hope you enjoyed it cuz I'm not doing it again."
You must watch a movie from the 70s called animals are beautiful people it’s narrated it’s about African animals in the desert and the plains of Africa
Zebras are no more horses than donkeys are, they do in fact belong to the species equine, but they each have distinct characteristics, it would go against the law of identity in logic, thus a horse is a horse and a zebra is a zebra they cannot be both at the same time. But I understand your sentiment
I missed Stefan. Happy to see him back!
And me too. I got him then, after I reloaded..... 😂
Johnny Morris was doing animal voice overs in Animal Magic 1962-1983.
He most certainly was and I watched many of them!

The thing is are Zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes? 😮🤔🤯
@@doomwatch1289 oh no . That sounds like the conundrum, which came first the chicken or the egg lol
Blimey even King Kong didn't survive a 1500 foot fall, that squirrel must be made of rubber!
😂
Hi JPS ❤ so happy to see you enjoying British adverts.
Are Stephan and/or Arturo making the next trip with you to the UK?
That would be good to watch
Sorry that had me in stitches especially the zebras 🦓 😂😂😂😂😂 but then again I’m British and we do love our animals ❤❤

Welcome back Rufus! 👍
Cat v Printer - The Translation and Cat v Washing Machine - The Translation from Chris Cohen (YT) are favourites of mine.
5:16 That's a shoebill.
6:30 I’ve heard that zebras look distinct so as to confuse predators.
Great start to the day. Referee zebras with "long faces." Haha. Thanks guys!!! John in Canada
You should give Creature Comforts a try if you liked this.
The zebras were telling a joke…..” a horse walks into a bar and the bartender says “why the long face?” ….hahaha lol
4:37 Technically, Horses and Zebras are related. That offshoot also includes donkeys and asses.
Quite short... I need more please! 😂

The "Alan" animal is what Europeans call marmots and you Americans call a groundhog 😊

Stefan looks particularly alluring in the bandana
It's a durag dude.

I think i read somewhere that the Zebras are striped to keep them cool in hot weather.

Joel, your comment "Evolution is not real bro" shows your level of sarcasm just keeps getting more British every day. 🙂
Or he was stating the fact that evolution is not real
Hey man, watch “creature comforts”. Funny British series, voice overs etc
Famous Last Words: “Animals can be really funny sometimes.”
Zebras look like horses because they ARE horses!
Zebras are no more horses than donkeys are, they do in fact belong to the species equine, but they each have distinct characteristics, it would go against the law of identity in logic, thus a horse is a horse and a zebra is a zebra they cannot be both at the same time. But I understand your sentiment
You need to check out Chris Cohens voiceovers, they are the best.
When Zebras are altogether, they become a blur to predators, because of their design. So the predators can't single out 1 Zebra.
Those aren't beavers, they're called Marmots and found in the alpine regions of Europe.
That fecking “Alan” thing has plagued me for years!
3:52 meerkat
Marmot
I'd like to see joel and his mates react to. Ant. And dec. Quizzed on. Geordie slang they would be like wtf
Horses and zebras are related, by marriage though.... 😂😂
Please react to creature comforts.
U need to watch creature comforts from makers of wallace & gromit xbut using real human conversations 😊😊😊
1500 feet!!!
*ALAN ALAN ALAN ALAN ALAN AL ALAN*
And we are animals
Can you watch family guy british jokes
Please react to Jane Godley voice overs
Apparently flies don't land on Black and white stripes. Don't like it.
Zebra teeth like haman teeth.
The animal shouting Alan is a mere cat. Love from uk. Xx
Not a meerkat. That's a marmot.
Not that funny. Better one than that
Some of those were awful, Zebra one especially.
Pointless, you talked through most of the jokes.
You`re adopted :D
