The set bonus itself is pretty good, you just need a bit of practice, and that's all. It isn't made for damage, but for defensive purposes. It's not all about the heavy attack, you have to mix a bit of each attack, so the enemy doesn't block any of them and attacks you while your shield is already gone. Equipping a special move on it will help a lot, since both special moves can deal a lot of damage also.
I totally agree If starinsky doesn't use the same attack he would have won every Fight easily But what he is doing is, spaming the heavy attack like a noob
I was bad at the big sword, no matter how many fights I fought I couldn't use it It took me a while to realize a few things that helped me get better 1 you need to use kicks, the sword is slow but legion close kicks are fast (manly back and down) 2 you need a special attack, the normal attack is close ranged and the strong attack is long ranged, you need a medium ranged attack 3 block, basically just know when you can't attack fast enough don't take the full damage 4 wait for them to move in position, don't go to them

Here are some tips for using the giant sword Roll away at the start of the round, counter by using heavy hit. Use UPPER and LOWER hits as well. Use Legion kick BATTERING RAM. Use special move POWER SWING for the giant sword. It is amazing. Play Defensive. For perks, I suggest BERSERK+ BASHER + POWER SWING. Hope this helps you :)

This is my favourite set. I'm really good with the giant sword and if you time the attacks right, the set bonus really helps when you're recovering from the cooldown after you're attack.

The way the living legend set is meant to be played is to attack when shield is charged when the opponent will hit you during your attack, you reflect it and also hit them with the sword, the shield is meant to protect you from damage mainly
Your actually quite right since alot of bosses/enemy's have deadly shadow ability or shadow form and both are good but living legend is also good especially against possessed emperor and that other boss Edit: it was the boss who can fly
I don’t recommend the set if you don’t like the damage return perk, or if you hate giant sword. For me it’s easy. You have to time the attacks. Also, I recommend getting the sf2 boss weapons at level 52, as that will help the perks get upgraded at the max. I also want you to know that sentinel set was similar to living legend.

A good way to use giant sword is to keep a minimum distance from your enemy so that you can hit your enemy but s/he misses his/her attack. Remember giant sword is a big weapon and has a longer range.You can hit your opponent even when you are pretty far from him/her.And yeah....don’t forget to include the epic special move of giant sword.

I'm not saying it's bad but when you compare it to Shadow Artisan it's decent. Giant sword is a very slow weapon and the time it takes to finish 1 special attack (finisher) of combo 2 is 5 secs. Whereas Blood reaper can perform special attack 2 times to deal better damage with critical hits plus shadow bot damage. Of course heralds are nothing without there weapon. When legion loses weapon they have retribution dealing extra damage after receiving a shock. But when it's a fight between a barehanded legion vs barehanded herald, Herald obviously would win because of the long range kicks they have and the special kicks they have. Meanwhile legion barehanded moves are spamable like the back punch. But that doesn't stop herald. Heralds can roll back and perform the late forward jump kick and a drop kick aswell. Two of strongest sets in this game, Liquidator and Living Legend, are just garbage when this guy uses them

It's all about how the player handle the set, not the set itself. All sets are good if you know how to use it

You have to equip swing perk for gaint sword. It's good for combo attack.
