@@MST3Killa to be technical, they SHARED the title with 2 other teams..so it wasnt like they won it outright..and they still lost 10 games..the problem is you want to believe they are capable of being a great team and you cant accept the idea that they just dont have the abilities to play consistent..IDC how good they looked THIS game..they still lost 12 games and couldnt beat the better BIG teams...being consistent is a sign of being good..any average team can look good for a game or 2...

This will be a dangerous game for Baylor who did not look that good yesterday versus Hartford. They were not in sync, not good team basketball, a lot of bickering and you could tell the coaches were frustrated. The 8/9 seed usually wins this game around 15% of the time, so it's often a good bet when 90 to 95% of the people in your bracket pool are just picking the number one seed.

Don’t think Jordan shed a tear about this mediocre team losing a first round game. Any UNC fan knew that even winning one game in the tournament this year would have been great. This team was inexperienced and had terrible guard play for most of the year. There were a few good spots there (Love against Duke), but most were few and far between. The expectations were not that high.

We need a stretch 4 and a shooters It was predictable how teams play us... P&R switch the matchup have an advantage. Double team the post and make us shoot the ball. He has to starting recruiting pure shooters and stretch 4s now. The nba game has involved into a 3 pt game with P&R play.
And you need to hold out hope the majority of those same freshman return! Also because it's not a guarantee Roy will be around that much longer! His age coupled with his occasional bouts with vertigo (his health is as important as his future)! And with Brooks graduating, Roy needs a solid base back! Your right Drisq when it comes to the NBA but it hasn't been an evolvement! It's been that way for the last 15-20 years! Offense and point production that has eaten away at the fabric of basketball fundamentals! It's why one and dones are one and dones! They figure with how the NBA is predicated, they only need to hone their offensive skill set! Defense at the college level doesn't get stressed enough because of it! And so guys don't guard! It's why LeBron has been as successful as he is during his career

The last two seasons have been bad but Roy has always had solid 3 point shooters. 2018-2019 Kenny Williams, Luke Maye, Brandon Robinson all shot close to 4O% from three. Coby White was the worst of them and he made 35%. And of course Cam Johnson was deadly but he was a transfer so he probably doesn’t factor in your assessment of Roy’s recruitment. Yes Platek and Black didn’t pan out as reliable shooters but both came in with the ability to hit the three.

we found a rhythm offensively early in the second half but the defending was horrendous throughout. too many easy baskets inside and never seemed to close out well on the perimeter. great game by wisconsin though, really impressive shooting. i expect them to give baylor a run for their money

It can be sick watching a team that always seems to play with such little sense of urgency. As a UNC fan, I’ve grown accustomed to Roy Williams coached teams struggling unless they have experienced 5 star players at every position. Every team went through COVID. This team really underperformed.

9 top 10 losses will do it you. Reality is they had only one loss all year not top 25. They were a very tough first round matchup for whoever had them because they were going to be a 8 or 9 but could have been a 6. Don’t forget they were top ten team the first 10 weeks of the year. And top 25 almost all year.
Unfortunate way for Williams to go out, but maybe losing for the first time ever in the first round (and getting massacred no less) was a sign that it was time to hang it up. He seemed really tired and worn out the last couple of seasons anyway.

I believe love and bacot will stay. Love didn’t do play very well all year and likely to not get drafted. Black was okay at times but didn’t really bring too much to the team with his lack of offense and inconsistency. Hopefully sharpe stays, I like the way he plays. Will miss brooks for sure

Why is everybody so surprised by ohio state losing, like that you acting like Ohio state was 24-2 or something. Ohio State was 21-10 on the season entering the tournament. Any of the year Ohio state would've been a 7 seed with that many loses instead of a two seed.

North Carolina never should have been in the tournament, let alone a number 8 seed. Name and reputation should not get a team in the tournament, it should be the body of work in the current season, which NC definitely did not have. The selection committee should be ashamed for putting that team on the floor for the public humiliation that they obviously should have expected.

Wisconsin a very good team when they are hitting their shots. They just played in an extremely talented conference.. They will give Baylor all they can handle if they are on their game. But Wisconsin has to be "on" their game to have a chance.

Coming from a student at Wisconsin, you're probably right. But Baylor is top 2 in the country IMO. If Wisconsin plays at their absolute best I think it could be very close.
One and done! UNC lack intensity killed them it was like they gave up, they didn't want to be there, i blame that on coaching ,you got to have your players ready to go no matter what! This class is going to break up, Sharpe, love, Bacot, Black sr., Brooks sr. , are all gone! A complete new team next year, i felt this game coming! Ol ROY WILLIAMS strikes again! GO HEELS!
I believe love and bacot will stay. Love didn’t do play very well all year and likely to not get drafted. Black was okay at times but didn’t really bring too much to the team with his lack of offense and inconsistency. Hopefully sharpe stays, I like the way he plays. Will miss brooks for sure
is it just me, or does it seem like Roy has lost his coaching touch these last 2-3 years? ever since that last title they have been a middle of the pack ACC team even though they've been able to recruit the higher rated kids because the NCAA investigation case on them wrapped up..this UNC team had no business losing to Wisc like they did..WISC isnt that much better than UNC was, yet UNC had way better talent

Why is everybody so surprised by ohio state losing, like that you acting like Ohio state was 24-2 or something. Ohio State was 21-10 on the season entering the tournament. Any of the year Ohio state would've been a 7 seed with that many loses instead of a two seed.

North Carolina never should have been in the tournament, let alone a number 8 seed. Name and reputation should not get a team in the tournament, it should be the body of work in the current season, which NC definitely did not have. The selection committee should be ashamed for putting that team on the floor for the public humiliation that they obviously should have expected.

Interesting considering nearly every talking head who spewed an opinion about the game said Wisconsin had no chance because Wisconsin has no bigs and NC has many bigs to throw at them and almost universally used your word manhandled. I’m not sure how an anachronistic collection of big men including 2 McDonalds All Americans gets manhandled by 5, 3 star small forwards and a bench that’s only 3 deep. But OK if you say so. Don’t worry Baylor will do to Wisconsin what everyone thought Carolina would do to them so take solace in that.
Wisconsin a very good team when they are hitting their shots. They just played in an extremely talented conference.. They will give Baylor all they can handle if they are on their game. But Wisconsin has to be "on" their game to have a chance.
