Both are lovely cards. Wonderful dies! We have an abundance of cardinals in our woods and back and forth to the feeders. They're especially pretty in the winter when there is snow on the trees.

Love both of these dies! The cardinal is so beautiful, made a stunning CAS card. Love seeing them in winter up against the snow-they really pop all the time, but with the snow...well you can imagine. Even the females show up nicely with snow on the ground. True fact, after my late husband passed, I had a male cardinal keep pecking at my window behind my bed. I'd throw my arm up to shoo it away. Kept doing it over and over...peck, peck, peck. Finally when I wouldn't get out of bed for a week or more, it went to my other bedroom window. I feel like it was my late husband telling me to get my butt out of bed and go on with living life! We have lots of colorful birds here in the States and I so love watching them come to the feeder. The flower die sure looks like lilacs to me too. I've been cutting my white lilacs and bringing them inside the house...smells so good! Your card is lovely, the traditional color is beautiful, love that you used your twinkle pen to make them shimmer and shine! Hugs, Brenda

So very beautiful!! I have cardinals and several other types of birds in my backyard!! I also have a bird feeder so they come quite a lot!! Just love watching them!! I also have humming birds also!!

Both cards are very pretty Chrissie, and I especially love the cardinal as it is such a bright and beautiful bird, and just with it sitting on the branch and with the birthday sentiment is all it needs. The lilac is lovely as it partially cuts so all the petals just push up for dimension, and the pencil and glitter pen over the top to blend looks great, and the leftover piece of green with a mixture of green tones works brilliantly for the leaves and stems, and just peeps through behind the leaves which is very pretty. x
It took me a while to work out how the die pieces went together for the Cardinal!😊😊😊🤣🤣🤣

Love your cardinal, I’m from St. Louis, Missouri, and our professional baseball team is called the Cardinals. We also have a lot of the beautiful creatures in our yard.

Very interesting dies. Love the way the flower is both completely cut out and partially cut. The flower looks a bit like a conical shaped hydrangea, too. They come in many different colors including purple. Your colors are very realistic ❤

Lovely lilac and cardinal, too. There was an established lilac in our yard when we first bought our home but sadly, after many, many years, it died. It bloomed reliably first thing every spring and smelled heavenly. It was a light lilac color and probably loved where it was planted. Unfortunately, our front yard area's been relandscaped and that area is no longer used for plants. No cardinals here for us. Although the types of birds we see regularly has changed over the years due to climate change, I imagine.

Another beautiful card! FYI, they have a lot of Alexandra Renke dies on Ali Express, they take a while to arrive, don’t have nice packaging but are dirt cheap and they work. They deliver world wide. I prefer to be oblivious to the economics behind it all

Beautiful cards! I think many states here in the US claim the cardinal as their state bird. No wonder, it certainly is beautiful. The lilac is also beautiful, I love the way the die allows for the tiny petals to lift up. Reminds me of our beautiful state flower here in Texas, the Bluebonnet. It’s a lupine with several shades of blue and grows wild here, especially in my part of the state, referred to as the Hill Country. Thanks as always 💕

The cardinal bird 🐦 card looked great
The flower look like a lilac flower to me too or could it be a hanging wistra flower or grapes if up the over way.

I am lucky to have a pair of Cardinals that live near me. The male took a bath in the top of 5 gallon bucket (I collect rain water for my potted plants) that sits directly out of my craft room window. When he was done he flew to hanging plant and guarded while his mate had her bath. It was incredible to watch so close to me. Both of your cards were gorgeous, thanks Christine!

The cardinal was spot on ! Here in the US we sometimes take nature for granted since we see so many beautiful birds, especially the cardinal. When our daughter was young we called the bright red cardinal “Daddy Cardinal” to distinguish him from his mate who is rather dull brownish red. Your commentary is always interesting and your projects are easy to follow. Thank you, Peggy in Maryland

I’m in Ohio where the state bird here is also the cardinal. We have many showing up at our feeders. And now the baltimore orioles are back at the feeders as well.

The lilac card is very unusual and beautiful and love the cardinal card too. Question for you, what do you think of your Sizzix Switch please - am looking at one that is on special and would really appreciate your opinion. Thank you Christine and have a wonderful day xx
Thank you. The Switch does a great job, I use a small machine on my desk, but the Switch is my preferred large machine. It exerts great pressure, so plates are prone to wear, but I protect my top plate by including a sheet of Mylar over the dies! Where are you thinking of purchasing it from?
