I'm from Vietnam. I admire Gambia that its government via Justice Minister has filed a lawsuit against Myanmar to ICJ over Rohyngya genocide claims. Small but brave. Human rights, justice shall be the most important privilege.
I love this country a lot, and I made about 500 videos in The Gambia , I made videos for everything in Gambia in my channel) , I made videos for streets , hotels, markets ,trips, tourists, crocodiles, monkey, and capital and more and more), I like this country and already sent a lot of tourists to visit it)
Very nice Video Rene ! Remembers me always on my stay in Gambia, in February 2016. Was my first visit there, but luckily i had enough experiences from travelling in another countrys. Was there alone and would come back.

I’m married to a Gambian man and live there for many months of the year myself...and he certainly doesn’t need a permit to go on the beach mon-sat??? That’s incorrect, the beach is for everyone to enjoy! And it belongs to The Gambians 24/7, 365. Gambia is paradise, especially Kartong ❤️❤️
Great video. Those alleyways within Serekunda Market that you referred to as "narrow streets" are not streets at all. They are just aisles within the market.
fellow Gambians this is not a political video. The word Gambians are nice . a nice place..what part you don't understand.? thanks for visiting the Gambia and sharing your experience.
I stayed at the Kombo Beach 1985 perhaps the with in first 18 months of tourism. It was the real deal ,some locals had never met others ,they where great ,some people told me that they had heard that tourists where coming and they should welcome them ,Most said it was broadcasted on the radio station.. I befriended a fellow called Mike who worked at the hotel, my wife and myself went to is house and met his family ,then on to the famous and since I closed down City Disco .The Senegalese president was staying in our hotel they where only into there second year of peace after a civil war where Senegal got involved so that guessed was big new there at that time .The beaches where un touched n there natural state. The airport was just a strip and a hut with a high wire fence around it.It was unbelievable.
TolgaM9, you're right in 1985 towards 1994 the Gambia was like unnamed lol! Comparing to 2000 up to date, a big difference the world has seen. Give thanks!!. Whenever there's life, there's hope. Cause this reminded me of things that weren't seen in the Gambia in those days. A long story my friend

Oh oke The story about the tree I heard first on a terrace near my Hotel. That day on the market Ousman the boy who showed us around told the same story. Anyway some believe it some not.. that is the way it works when you talk about believing
@@DVSPDC lol behave yourself, friend. Boer 902, sorry mate, they're not to be found. Perhaps the lion and giraffe but in the nature reserves. As for antelope, they could be found in the wild.
Turkeymayne, correction it's not only "toubab"; the Gambia has many different names of calling a white man according to our ethics. so u can't just claim everyone to call them same name cause in my language it's call "abobow" or "alulumow" so get over it. We've different languages in the country not only the language u know. let people learn to know the different ethics in countries to their experience so that they have have a firm narration to the ones who haven't visited the place yet. I don't blame u cause maybe u visited or know only few regions according to the person who was with u. Stay bless
The tree in the background has nothing to do with Protecting the market, whoever told u that, didn't know nothing about it. Its just a tree that was there for so many years
Waw and foreigners are allowed to use the beach from Monday to Saturday, and while the Gambians are allowed only on Sundays but yet enjoyed their Sunday time with the same foreigners who have been using the beaches for 6 days. Very sad but we are still on slavery and a different ways.
how poor country like this afford the legal lawsuit for suing Myanmar? i heard lawyers alone cost one million USD! gambia for human rights?? joke of the year 😅
Gods son Christ Jesus died on thee cross for our sins so that by believing in him we can have life...belief in Jesus be a free gift from the Father, given to them ( through thee hearing of his words ) whom He hath chosen for salvation
this is a shame that Gambians cannot enjoy what they have, sad and shameful, , gambia is not a nice country , is dying an deteriorating at an alarm rate
Everyone has a right to an opinion. My view, and the people I have spoken are more positive. it is going slow but life in general is on the rise. For me The Gambia is "the smiling coast of Africa"

Great perspective of The Gambia. Thank you for the refreshing video with no music, just the real Gambia. 💙✨

Interesting to see Mercs as taxies, or what are those yellow cars with green stripes?
Those are taxis Mercedes Benz or C class they normally use as taxis
J'adore les Gambiens, j'ai de l'affinité pour eux ils sont très gentils.
Merci monsieur
Merci beaucoup pour l'amour infiniment. Nous vous aimez vous aussi.

Good video, but its incorrect that the tree in the video protects the market.
Oh oke The story about the tree I heard first on a terrace near my Hotel. That day on the market Ousman the boy who showed us around told the same story. Anyway some believe it some not.. that is the way it works when you talk about believing
Yeah the story is true but the concept that a tree can protect is just stupid which is why only a small number of people believe it.

Why Gambians need a permit to go on their own beach ?
🤔, is that what you said or am I mistaken ?
I do not know, its what they told me..it is not the whole coast but a stroke where the hotels are located. have you been in the Gambia.
