- And so we are jumping into a very very special Audi RS3 8Y. Probably the most famous 8Y on the social media, and I’m here to give it a massive push. I planned this shoot with the owner for a while, and we finally made it happen. Now, let me tell you this to all the people that say that the 8Y doesn’t sound as good as the previous gen 8V. Mostly, you’re right, but not here. What the owner has done with this car, is absolutely awesome. Trust me, it’s VERY hard to impress me, who has been shooting and driving pretty much every Audi for the past decade. But here, I was smiling from ear to ear. This is, to me, perfection. The way this car sounds is out of this world. The way it looks is also another diamond. Kudos to the owner, and enjoy the video!

I have never been a fan of the rs3 hatch, but this one not only sounds amazing, but looks amazing too! All blacked out with those wheels fit perfect! I would not mind trading my 8v saloon for this!!

You have driven just about every Audi. In your opinion, would you take the 8Y over the 8V? I'm thinking about upgrading when the facelifted models arrive.
8y drives better, the interior does not look old, so I would change but it will not sound like that without losing the warranty from what I know

To me, 8Y all day every day. Looks better, wider body, handles better, and the sound can be fixed with the right tuning.
Not really, my 8v RS3 with decat midpipes still sounds louder and more aggressive than this one.
Is not the front splitter too low near the ground ? No problems with daily driving and holes in streets ?
