Got one of these recently, I think they fit the narrow/hard tyres for less grip, because this thing traction rolls A LOT on tarmac. On road it's lacking grip for turns, offroad it's "ok", but no good on grass at all. Fit the bigger tyres, it's faster top speed, more grip, good on grass, but flips and rolls all over the place on tarmac, thankfully the decorative spare wheel takes most on the damage and it usually comes to a rest wheels down, but the spare wheel is probably what causes the traction rolls by giving it a high centre of gravity.
It looks spectacular! Recently I started again in the hobby, I bought 2 WLTOYS, the 12429 and the 124016. I love the 12429, it's tall, big and a lot of fun to drive Later I would love to color this MJX
I really like the look the price the style everything even the handling the speed And also The durability of these trucks are phenomenal. You can't go wrong with these MJX hyper goes. I've said it over and over and over again these are the best in my eyes.😊😊
Were spoiled for choice with price for well performing RC,s glad you said it people either don't know or forget these days it amazes me...I remember charging cars for 12 hours for about 5 minutes full power and maybe 10 minutes in total driving not to mention the expense of AA batteries in controllers lasting 3-4 goes... wouldn't have many people driving RC,s if it was still the same today! thanks for championing 'chimese junk' 😃🤟
I’ve watched so many videos on different RC cars for a beginner like me and this has been my final choice. Good informative videos. Good positive review for the price. Ordered with 3S batteries so it’s gonna be a handful. Oh, and coming tomorrow. 53 in 4 days and I’m excited like a 10 year old kid 🙏😂
MJX have always delivered since their days with hobby grade drones. They were the first to release a hobby grade drone that could fly 1 KM with GPS return. They have been solid in their builds, Giving great bang for your buck hobbie grade vehicles. You can't go past their reliability. I own a lot and I mean A LOT of ARRMA cars/trucks and can honestly say that IF MJX go into the larger models, We will find that for durability with say a 1/8 Truck, Will by far be stronger, faster than any ARRMA vehicle released. This goes for TRAXXAS also. BUT... I cant see this happening as we used to wish for this in the Drones years back. Pretty sure they just want the small scale niche market as they did back then. Seriously though, You will be hard pressed to find anything this scale as durable. Take a look at a build of one, then imagine that in a 1/8 ...You'll see my point. HOWEVER - You will find that some slip through the cracks of their QC which has always been an issue with MJX. This is an area where they can improve. However from experience, if you ever receive a dud, Simply email them and generally you will get an apology and a replacement. MJX is a company that listens and reacts to its customers also. Their aftermarket customer service I have found over the years to be second to none in the hobby grade market. I personally would love nothing more than to see MJX spread its wings into the larger scale vehicles and give the bigger names something to genuinely fear hence forcing them into bringing down the price and increasing build strength from the get go. These main companies make tons of $$$ in aftermarket parts and they know it. It's time for us, The consumer to get behind these smaller companies and let them know what we want. I am new to RC. I would just like to ask what the difference is between this one and wltoys 124016 V2 for example? Is it more durable? Cause the performance seems similar. But this one is almost 100 euros more expensive.
@@Themlpg73 The WL12016 is quicker as the power draw is more. It has a 60A ESC Compared to the smaller 45's MJX are using in some of their cars. To answer your question mate, The MJX are a lot more durable but not as quick as a 12016 V2, Especially when you put oversized buggy tyres on them. On 3s I haven't got a faster 1/12 than the 12016 but I've lost count of how many times its broken. Mainly the drive cups are weak and the dog bones fall out. Swap the electronics to a 1/12 MJX chassis on 3s with a Cheap Dumbo with gyro its unbeatable. Zeee make great 100c 3s batts that fit the MJX trays too. They are a lot better than their hard case packs.
@@Top-Jimmy That’s what I suspected. I just ordered recently a 184016 but then I found out about durability issues. I got it since it was the cheapest one. Now I’m looking at 124008. They say that one is more durable. I see that parts are a concern with Wltoys but they seel to have all the parts for that one on Aliexpress. I got a JJRC Q117 for my daughter a while ago. That’s how I got interested in RC cars. But we’ll see, I might go for one of these MJX ones when I have learned a bit with cheaper ones. What do you think about the 124008? I know that being able to put regular batteries in there is a downside but that won’t be an issue for me.
@@Themlpg73 If you go ahead with the WL124008, Make sure its the brushless version, Its quicker and the motor will last a lot longer. The battery plug in the car can simply be freed up by un doing 2 screws so you just have a regular deans plug and use other batteries. Also, Yes, They seem to be using thicker axles/dog bones than previous builds, but I'm not a fan of the 2 in 1 ESC/Receiver for various reasons, But the car will suit someone starting out for the WoW factor. But... Buy yourself an MJX 16207. Its the fastest one they make to date. Very quick, Very durable and Zeee make excellent little high capacity batteries in 100c for them. It comes with a decent 3s that works just fine. A must have for any 1/16 driver..WoW factor is an 8/10. Let me know how you get on mate.... Stay safe friend, PRC - Australia

Yeah, just love this version of MJX trucks! It’s been on my list of “to get” trucks since it’s been out. Really love it’s styling. Curious if 1..9 crawler tires will help even more with rock bouncing. Gonna have to hit the button and see for myself!well done review Ricky!

I just subscribed and got my first rc the 14302 coming tomorrow. Question is what 3s battery and charger do I need for it as it’s only coming with the one 2s battery
Not bad for a 1/14 scale. Those big Brand rc are nice but they are too expensive like the new release from Traxxas over 500 dollars that is just crazy some of us just can't afford that💸💸💸💸

In future deal i want the 210 too😂 even if i already have the losi mini 8 tuggy.. I got with 2s and 3s. The gear last on 3s or is too much power? I dont want spend money for new diff each run😂
I've ordered the truggy version but as usual banggood let's me order something not in stock. I've seen they have problems with rear cvd. Does anybody know if all the new stock will have the fixed cvd? Should I cancel my order?
I’ve heard they have more then cvd problems. I ordered mine in early June and it’s now on its way. I was told it is the improved version. My seller wouldn’t send me the earlier model. So I guess they sorted it.
my mjx 1/16 truggy servo has some error since last night and this morning just got worse. I bought it several months ago The throttle and lights are now safe, however if the servo moves, they all fail. When you switch it off, everything returns to normal, but as soon as the servo hits, the error returns.

Idk about anyone else, but my Hyper Go Brushless has been all but reliable. I don't drive it that often, but it breaks almost every time and I'm not hard on it at all. I've had to change both diffs, input gear, and now a servo after only about 20-30 runs. And it hasn't even seen a skatepark. Just racing it around my yard on the included 2S batteries. It wouldn't bother me much if the parts were available in hobby stores, but having to wait 2-4 weeks for parts is exhausting.
Great review and video as usual. I’m a fan. However I think we should address MJX ripping off body styles. By the way I own two JMX hyper go’s the buggy and MT. I thinks it’s totally out of order almost direct copping body shells. Let’s take the Savage rip off the nitro 5.9 gt6. It’s not even a brushless it’s a nitro so saying it’s based on people who are priced out of the high end I feel is not right they didn’t rip off the savage flux body they did the nitro and fair enough they are good and affordable but what about the people that did buy the expensive stuff it’s not right in my opinion to steal body designs.
I would buy mjx cars if they would make 1/10th scale cars not only this mini scale dickies.... i like my cars on the bigger scale and they sell none of those...

The rear driveshafts. They are the update on v2. See the video of the truggy which I’ve just posted they are noticeable! One serious chunk of metal!

get a remo. good brushless cars and you can switch the steering wheel from right to left on their controllers.
