    I completely agree the 458 is way better experientially. The 488 GTB is a faster car but honestly, I will do 458 before I do a 488.

    Simply awesome! And what makes it so scientifically outstanding is the way how you critically look at your own data. Pointing out potentially inaccurate data eg due to not enough cars in a segment is top notch. My personal favorite: the wrap-up in the end. It helps to sort the mind after an abundance of cool analysis and almost overflow. You just increased your margin in your field of work AGAIN.

    I've driven the 458, 488 and F8, it is the 458 I purchased with my cash and I could afford the others but the 458 is simply more fun to drive on the road, it feels alive even within the speed limits, whereas the 488/F8 feel boring at legal speeds, you have to drive very fast to get fun factor with 488 or F8 whereas 458 is always fun and always singing. 458 is the modern classic and will become more desirable.

      Naturally aspirated vs turbocharged? The story I heard was that Chevy used the 458 as a benchmark for their C8 ZO6. They started with the 488, but then switched to the naturally aspirated 458.

    I loved your video thanks. I would like to see an analysis for the Porsche 986 please, the original Boxster, as prices seem to currently have reached rock bottom and will rise for similar reasons to the 458. I think it is a great car (I have a 2.7 2003 model). I have subscribed.

    Do you think the 458 will ever come down again?

    • @tbuck7104
      @tbuck7104 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my (worthless lol) opinion, it would have to he a pretty severe macroeconomic situation. As mfgr's continue to head towards batteries, the collectible performance cars will just continue to be more sought after. A bonus is that the 458 is more desirable than the 360, 430, and 488 - so it's going to be even harder for it to come down. Just like Porshe 997 will prove the more desirable gen than the 996 or 991 imo, so it's a safe bet (say a 997 Turbo or GT3). The other thing is that the 458 is the "last ever" at something. This is the last naturally aspirated Ferarri sports car, like the 993 was the last air cooled Porsche, the 997 was the last "sports car" 911 (steering etc.), and various car models were the last of their kind to have a manual transmission, etc.
      So I like cars that have multiple things going for them long term (internal combustion, marquee brands, are good cars - got rave reviews when new, and are more desirable than models just before and/or after, and various other bonuses) - the 458 has almost every box checked. Well, at least that's how I see it 😁.

    Can u do 812? Is it worth buying over the f12?

    • @4J_777
      @4J_777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally 812 GTS will be valuable as Ferrari hardly ever release an open top V12 for the public. However I personally think if you are talking about worth purchasing then yes 812SF is value for money since it is still a V12 NA and most probably will be the last NA V12 produced by Ferrari which makes it a lot special. :)

    I've always wondered - so I'm asking. Are Ferrari prices subject to normal "market forces" or is it set either in Marenello or the USA. I find here in South Africa the local prices is pretty much the dollar x the Exchange rate. And I've calculated that the price of a Ferrari always keeps up with our inflation. Is this the same in the US/UK market ?

    I have a 458 Spider which is pretty basic spec. I have the Diamond forged Speciale Aperta rims slapped on, but other than that pretty basic. I really don’t t need the money at this time, but I hardly drive the car. I drove 500 miles last year. Total milage is 11000. Would I be better off selling it? I don’t mind keeping it if the value stays the same or increases. Whats your take on my situation?

      @Cavallino69 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mobteknik I have a 2015 and have been watching this market closely for the past few years. You have a car that should depreciate less (or possibly not at all) than just about any other standard production car (not counting limited production cars like the Speciale or Pista.) If you're enjoying it, keep it. Just about anything else you might replace it with will likely depreciate more.
