at 6:12, you missed the other book reference. The books title 'How To: Continue Broadcasting on Public Radio in Extremely Foggy Conditions', if a nod to the film The Fog (1980), directed by John Carpenter. The female lead works as a public radio host in a lighthouse and has to work it when the mysterious fog rolls in.
Found another L4D2 Easter Egg for you. On the level after the bar/juke box fight at the beginning safe room where the level starts, the colonel will be talking to a "medic" after giving you your mission instructions. During the conversation he talks about how few cleaner squads they have due to sickness and death. During that part of the conversation he says
"With so few squads left...better ask Coach to stay here to protect the base".
That might be a sign that the survivors (Nick,Rochelle,Ellis,Coach) or just coach is alive

Think the zombie slayer skin for the Tac14 shotgun is just as it says. Not a doom slayer reference.
Lots of camos and color schemes like that were popular around 2010 on up when preppers were making zombie themed AR-15 builds, etc.
Respect for the detail the developers put in for references and homages to other horror franchise as well the legacy of left 4 dead. Makes me happy makes me smile

There is one more easter egg in the french version : When you ping the treaseur door, Holly says " is it the legendary hiding place of the missing PQ ? " Its a ref to the first Lockdown when we were out of stock of PQ in all the market in France :)

In regards to the books easter eggs the second book "How to continue broadcasting on public radio in extreme foggy conditions" is a reference to "The Fog" 1980. Character voice lines are also full of easter eggs as well especially Karlee who often quotes Starship Troopers, Aliens, and the Lost Boys.

In the shining Easter egg the trickle model is actually from l4d2 you can find it on some levels
3:29 you can see the Freddy Kruger face on a wooden board. 2 eyes and a nose, look like Jackie Earle Haley
There’s a Back to the Future Easter Egg Where you can see a wire attached from the clock tower to the light poles on street. In Act 2-2 right before you enter the armory.

hearing the left 4 dead 1 theme from this game makes me really sad..... if only turtle rock and valve got along this would be left 4 dead 3 and a better game in general
the game nearly got it right with the characterization of the world but just flipped the formula on it's head by adding the loot system used in borderlands and fortnite along with the perk deck system from payday 2
my mom and her boyfriend played this together and said it felt more like left 4 dead without any cards and common than it did with them, hell as soon as i heard they added those mechanics to the formula i knew the game wouldnt be simple and fun for long unlike left 4 dead
valve.... please just put Left 4 Dead 2 on ps4 and 5 along with Xbox One and Xbox x and S, we don't even care if it's not remastered at this point

6:05 the one book you point at might be a reference to the movie "The Fog" where a lady broadcast in "extremely foggy conditions" to warn the town that there are zombie like creatures in the fog who want revenge on the town and want to kill 6 people to avenge their deaths. By the end of the movie they get the gold that was stolenfromthem back and kill the priest who was an ancestor of the person who betrayed them and killed them, he was also the 6th death.

Dude I found a golden skull when the beta dropped and I was like... What is it for, I literally sat there for 30 minutes because I didn't want to leave until I knew what it does, I kinda figured it was an achievement thing so yeah there's a story from my POV.
Turtle Rock seemed to kept their thing when it comes to easter eggs.
One you missed: one of the post-it notes says "Thank god for rednecks" referencing Zombieland
i think there is also a coco (the disney movie) reference in the game, i had evelangelo in my team tonight, he got a melee hit from holly, and he said: do i look like a pinata to you, which is a voiceline from coco i believe.
mind you, he was wearing the dia de los muertos skin (dont know the actual ingame name for that skin) when he said that, and it sounded kinda like spanish accent.

On the ruffian Mustang one turtle rock is a reference to turtle rock studios, who made terror strike then turtle rock handed terror strike to valve, and they made left for dead

ok i think that one for the tac14 being about doom, specifically old 8-bit doom, is a bit of a stretch there.
I heard a reference when I was Hoffman in the sewer about the 2000 war of the worlds movie. He talked about the red vine and such.
Hoffman's hate for stuff is also i reference to Francis hating everything
Hoffman : "jumping, why it have to be jumping". he say the same for boats, sewers. etc etc
Franciss " i Hate stairs" also carnivals, hospitals and so on.
Two Easter Eggs you overlooked:
1: In The Crossing saferoom, there is a sticky note that says: "I think I'm going home in a box". This is a reference to Bill from Left 4 Dead. If Bill has been incapped during a campaign, he will say that line.
2: In the same saferoom, another sticky note references the 2009 movie Zombieland. The note references the character Tallahassee saying; " THANK GOD FOR REDNECKS! "
Another one missed around the 3rd mission first part I think when u spawn in the barn before goin to thr city while ur grabbing ur laodout Hoffman and the other medic guy are having a discussion and you hear Hoffman say we will keep coach in the fort. Pretty much saying it's too crazy to let him come fight at the moment. So I'm guessing L4D DLC and I'm all for it

I think those golden skulls might be a Halo 3 reference because when you went to find them all the scoring skulls were referred to as "Gold Skulls" in the achievements and the non-scoring ones where "Silver Skulls"

If you start the run using the level selector, the first map always gives you the super health card (at least that was the case for me). It may only work offline though, I only played this game with bots.
