@@arapaimagold8088 Nothing like that going on here, you shouldn't be able to hear breathing if you are breathing properly, keeping your throat open and plus any mic will have a noise gate to stop any sound below a certain decibel, this is super basic 101 sound guy stuff, plus could be an EQ'd sidechain. Nothing to do with anything like lung capacity, that stuff is irrelevant to singing, its all about your diaphragm and breathing correctly, but also worth noting neither this vocalist nor the lady you mentioned are super technical singers, but are competent enough to know how to breathe properly and use their diaphragm. It doesn't have anything to do with stuff like lung capacity or fitness.

Well 80% of the Korean singers is always doing Backflips on stage dancing they ass off, Japonese Singers is always doing Minimal movements on stage so they can focus on singing, But when we have artist like XG from Japan dancing they ass off too then we see the same amouth of background help that we see on korean singers. But when we have IU for exemple who is from Korea doing minimal dance movements she is singing 90% live. they are human bro they need to breathe. The thing I respect the most about jpop idols and artists is that THEY ALWAYS WITHOUT EXPECTION sing live. Lilas Ikuta is a singer (NOT AN IDOL) trained in singing so it doesn't surprise me that but Jpop IDOLS also sing live despite not having as strict of a vocal training as kpop idols.
for japanese idols their companies typically value cuteness as a major selling point, which really makes the music and performances feel not as “structured” as k-pop songs- in the best way though. like it genuinely feels like they’re having fun preforming
I think because Japan and Korea have a different culture in terms of Idol, like Japan have 48 family group and Nogizaka that selling more cuteness and fan service to attract fans.. Meanwhile in Korea idol must be perfect and can do anything like singing, dancing, rapping, mc-ing, fan service, variety show skill, etc..
This is fucking awesome! This is the kinda live performance we want! No lip syncing, no backing track! We don’t need CD precise vocals, we want to hear the artist’s expression of the song at that moment. Art is never meant to be perfect.
There are backing tracks. The backing vocals aren't live. Probably some instrumental parts are also on the backing track. But the lead voice is live for sure.
She's the only one who is not an idol singing about idol. Her stage performance skill has improved a lot since 2020. I prefer her performance compared to kpop idols who use heavy backvocals or lipsync
Let's be fair though, most KPop idols focus more on full performances than just singing, but i agree that if they have to only focus on singing, than yes, they absolutely should.
You gotta understand the fact most kpop idols dance so hard while singing. Dancing alone will make you tired and lose some breaths so they do need the background support. I do agree many idols need more vocal practice than just lipsync but I think its impossible for them to just sing 100% vocals without any background/backing while dancing for 6 to 10 mins without rest.
Yoasobi is the real deal and they deserved a lot more cheers than this! Ikura is amazing doing live without MR especially on such a demanding song like Idol. You can hear a few quick instances where she's a little behind catching her breath or reaching the note, but that is the beauty of real live singing.
It's interesting that they actually toned back on backing vocal tracks (they are a lot more quiet than they used to be) and they left the autotune behind on Idol. They used to fiddle a lot with that song even though the rest of the performance they only had some vocal backing tracks.
They really did not do too much for this rendition of Idol so you can really hear the pitch deviations. It makes the performance all the more amazing 🤩

Ikura looks cute and sweet. She's so pretty and I have confirmed she has left lungs as well. She proved it to us!
Honestly, impressive singing such a vocally complex song live. Were there times when she was off beat or out of tune? Sure, of course, but that's the reality of live performance. It's those imperfections that can make it more charming.
요아소비가 지금까지 노래 부른거 중에 가장 음정이나 발성이 안정되어 있네 마마에서 라이브로 부르기 위해 연습 엄청 한거 같네 숨도 안쉬고 호흡 흐트러짐 없이 저거 다 소화한거 보니까 진짜 안봐도 노력한게 보인다 다른 라이브 영상보면 격하게 움직이거나 퍼포먼스 보여주려고 하다 보니 호흡이 거친데 이번 무대는 진짜 너무 안정적임
I like how Lilas always introduces her group " We are Yoasobi , From Japan ! ... I'm like I'm pretty sure everyone knows who you all are and defiantly knows you all are from Japan. I think she might not know how internationally famous they are or maybe she is just very humble could be a bit of both.

Ikura's performance was absolutely mesmerizing! The live vocals without any backing tracks really showcased her talent. It's refreshing to see such authenticity in an era where lip-syncing is common. Yoasobi truly set the bar high at MMA2024!
Finally! I saw the artist/ band behind the anime that I've been watching. This is a very iconic Oshi no Ko OST. The season 2 ended, nakakabitin, I need season 3 asap. 🥲 I was also delighted when QWER was jamming to YOASOBI during IDOL performance. 🥰🥰 Hwaiting rock bands! Ganbatte! 😍

I like how Lilas always introduces her group " We are Yoasobi , From Japan ! ... I'm like I'm pretty sure everyone knows who you all are and defiantly knows you all are from Japan. I think she might not know how internationally famous they are or maybe she is just very humble could be a bit of both.
