I love this record but production killed it. I know, it’s not a new observation but If the album was tighter sonically it may have went down as classic as the albums it’s sandwiched between. Some very killer tracks on this.
The worst was the first, but all of the first three of MegaDave albums had sh... engineering. But, Dave probably didn't even notice due to being drunk and high 90 percent of the time.
@@ThrashRebel Peace Sells IMO has very good engineering compared to KiMB and this one. Killing made sense i guess since they had no money on an independent label but the quality of So Far, there's just no excuse for it. The isolated tracks from peace sells all sound extremely good, especially Poland's stuff, so clear.
To me this tone is a fucking masterpiece it is not a surgical metal encyclopedia guitar tone but it is like sex pistols on stereoids it fits the songwritting so good to me and you cannot recreate it either there is nothing like this around

Dave at this point really doesn't have a problem with Jeff Young, but man is Jeff pity asf towards Dave.
Low point of Megadeth in my mind. Both in terms of songwriting and production. Especially production. They were too high to care.
