Every time Squid leaves like when he moved to Squidville or when he got sent to the future/past, he always realizes in those moments that he misses SpongeBob. There are also moments he gets protective over SpongeBob as well. Squid only likes him it seems when he thinks he will never see SpongeBob again

Squidward is shown as a character who is mostly annoyed by SpongeBob but does like and considers him to be a friend deep down inside. That's at least what Stephen Hillenburg and the original writers were going for in the first 3 seasons. Things changed a lot once Paul Tibbitt and new writers took over.

I think Fear of the Krabby Patty is worse since Krabs overworked his employees without them giving them an ounce of a break in which took a mental turmoil onto SpongeBob that what he loves to do at his job became his biggest fear.

When Ray gave his brother, Robert, $1000 to help him out, but he wanted to use that money to take a trip to Las Vegas. And at the end, he tries to convinces Ray to go with him. Robert: “Room services cheeseburgers at 3 in the morning.” Ray: “We’re gonna need another thousand.”
