Can you use the EOLR1 on the last smoke or can it only be the 5.6K resistor

What about if we home run the smokes how does this work ? We always home run or smokes so when one goes off the monitoring station knows which smoke is actually going off

Does this work when smokes are in line with cosmo detectors and a cosmod module?

There is no need for the RRS-MOD on when you are using the COSMOD module. The COSMOD has a reversing relay built in.

Why don’t all the 4wtab smokes sound when you latch one?

They do when you use the RRS mod.

Mine don’t either. Been trying to figure out why only one sounder goes off when triggered, and why I can’t reset. I have the AWTAB smokes, and an Elk M1 gold panel. A few questions this video left me with: Since I’m using the RSS-Mod, should I set my panel (jumper) to 4 wire smokes (normal) or keep it on 2 wire smokes? Also, I assume I use the EOL resistor required for the smokes regardless or do I match the resistor to the panel setting? i.e. if using 4 wire smokes the required EOL resistor is 2200, but if 2 wire smokes then 820 is required. Should the resistor follow the actual smokes that are installed or follow the settings of the panel jumper? I hope all that makes sense!

Is there a 2.2k resistor on the EOL smoke?

Yes and no. As with normal smokes, a resistor is required on the last smoke in the chain, however, 2-wire and 4-wire smokes use different value resistors. 2-wire smokes require the 2.2K resistor, and 4-wire smokes use the controlling panel's zone resistor value. In this case, since it is a DSC system, 4-wire smokes need a 5.6K resistor.

@@haydenabel2287 I knew that darn it! Lol! Been installing the NEO panels lately. I like them a lot.

How about if you home run all smokes and not loop them ? So we know what room is actually going off

Well good luck to anyone not sitting in front of the device or who doesn't have super vision...Just decided not to talk this time?

Are you having trouble hearing the audio? The whole video has dialogue. You might need to check your sound/speaker settings.
