Good job buddy....how's the radio checks...what's the final. .swr..readings on ch. 1. 20. 40. Hustler 27 antenna works real good as well...thats what I use...real easy on the swr...very little turning needed. ..
If you have a aux on ur truck. And connect it to the cb speaker input. You may here the cb radio on stereo in your truck speaker. You also can here clear the people you speaking to in the cb. You don't need extra speaker.
complicated compared to our UHF Australian CB ....but very interesting though..It took me all of an hour from go to woah and talking via UHF (477 Mhz)..We use 80 channels additional 40 channels for narrow band ..Great vid Nathan ..
I have a little tip that always worked for me. when your going down the highway and it gets noisy its easier to just have the RF gain all the way up instead of messing around with the volume. and a little suggestion if you want to get out good and that fire stick isn't getting out the way you want it to go and get yourself a Wilson 2000 trucker antenna they work the best on vehicles in my opinion cause its high enough to get out good and its low enough to where it wont hit anything.
Technically yes, but actually no. If the antenna was never bumped against anything, if none of the cables or radios got worked on or switched out, perhaps yes, you would never need to retune it. However, if you have trees that will rub it or anything else you drive under, then yes. It's also good practice to check it every once in a while to make sure it's tuned so it will run as well as possible. Thanks for watching Matthew!
Good video good install to however your radio is not tuned with that fire stick the way you just showed I can tell you that she goes through with the readings and make it a little more clear adjusting these antennas are a pain in the ass way easier than the magnet mounts with Allen ranches in cutting wire
needs a good SWR meter, I have 2 like that and they are Wrong plus don't have to be in the open to check SWR. I check mine in my drive way with 102" whip SWR is 1.1 no problem
@@robertcook5972 You are right, the 'needing to be in a clear area to adjust the SWR' is a CB old wife's tale that goes back to when I first got into radio back in 1967. And, most of those Astatic, Dosy, Workman, etc meters are junk.
Good instructional video for the newcomers to CB Radio and also reminding some of us older chaps about how to SWR tune a CB. Well done Nate.
If you aren't as young as you look, all the better. Great job. Nice to know some wayyy younger people then myself up to snuff on a job of passion.

The REF on the meter means Reflected not Reference.
FWD=Forward Power
REF=Reflected Power

Well done!
Just wondering... Once an antenna is tuned, is it tuned for life?

Thanks man.
Why didn't you tune it before you put it in your dash
It can be done either way, I just decided to do it after installing.
Will you do a step-by-step tutorial on how to tune the General Washington 10 meter cb radio and antenna
Thank you for watching! I will help you out as best I can. What antenna are you using with your radio?
very cool thanks

I'm trying to adjust 2 different radios. Neither antenna is the adjustable type like in video. Do I need different antennas ?
Thanks mate 🇦🇺
From my experience, this SWR meter is not accurate, get a real one .
