- Rauw Alejandro sits down with Zane Lowe for a conversation about his new album, ‘SATURNO’.
Rauw reflects on the path to where he is today, with eight Latin Billboard nominations, millions of listeners, and being dubbed "The King of Reggaeton." Rauw reflects on dropping out of school and switching his focus to music instead of dancing. He explains that 'SATURNO' is heavily influenced by a desire to lean into the sounds and the weirdness of the 90s, and mix old sounds with new.
Rauw tells Zane about his creative chemistry with ROSALÍA and how they influence each other's music. He also mentions the importance of following intuition and giving respect to the legends who came before him, leading him to include Baby Rasta in the process of creating this album and ensure that his fans know about the artists who paved the way.

Rauw doesn’t get the credit he deserves. He’s a very talented artist who takes risks in a genre that seems to sit on its laurels. Reggaeton needs a makeover. There’s not a whole lot of originality in its sound or lyrics - every artist sounds the same. The lyrics are all the same. Rauw has the courage to try new beats, sound, mixes and that’s what makes him an excellent artist. I hope he sticks around for a long time. I Can see him becoming a great producer in the future.
I’m happy to see Rauw in a completely English interview! He has improve a lot! He makes fun music to dance, love his music, But I do believe education gives you a better mindset and responsibility.

4:32 this guy is the worse interviewer. So now everyone should drop out of school because they can be rich and famous? There are thousands of kids who are not going to school because they want to be an artist or a sports star. Shakira actually attended college after being rich and famous because she understands the power of education. How about “how did you know dropping out of school was the right thing to do for you.” Justin Bieber didn’t go to college. It was a clear and obvious choice not to do so because he had an established career.
He is a nice guy but creatively, musically and technically he is not even in the same planet as Rosalia. She is legit genius.

Rosalia is a highly and formally trained (over 10+ years and continues to study) artist. She traverses music genres, has taken the best of each type of music to create something new and fresh every time. She leads innovation, writes and performs. She does not use music (or auto tune) to mask her voice and can stand there and belt out a Spanish classic a cappella like a walk in the park. Only one artists like her comes around in a generation. The real deal. He is super nice and has talent for reggeton and pop, I do like him, but no comparison. I do respect other ppl’s opinions.
