Okay, I believe someone needs to properly address this until Lozaus officially does so (if he does, that is), so I guess it might as well be me. This is gonna be a long one, but do consider giving me some of your time. Right, so: Many people have pointed out an apparent reference to BLM and the murder of George Floyd (RIP) at 02:18. It's easy to miss at first glance but becomes glaringly obvious once it's been pointed out. Now, I've noticed that there's two different camps out there right now commenting on the matter. Some people find it to be Lozaus's own way of acknowledging the situation and perhaps even delivering a subtle but impactful message of his own (which, as far as I can understand, is either a) that had the onlookers that day stood up for him and attempted to stop the cops, Mr. Floyd might still be with us today or b) simply his way of giving us the satisfaction of watching the racist monsters who deserve a proper beating get exactly that, because we all know that they won't actually be punished nearly as harshly as they should be in the real world). Others, however, have found this apparent reference to be in poor taste, perhaps because a) they believe that, as someone who is an entertainer, maybe it's best if he doesn't get political at all or b) they simply find any re-enactment of that horrendous murder to be distasteful, no two ways about it. So what's the conclusion here? Personally, I don't think Lozaus was trying to be offensive or culturally insensitive in any way. I beleive that it was, in fact, his own way of acknowledging BLM and of giving us the satisfaction of seeing racism itself get the thrashing it deserves in the form of Thanos. However, I can also see why his particular way of sending this message could be considered insensitive and distasteful by some, and I can't blame those who do see it as such. Ultimately, though, I do believe that he acted out of the best of intentions, and should be forgiven by those who beleive he did make a mistake in recognition of the same(since, again, I do beleive his motives were true and pure). Of course, everyone is allowed to have their own opinions and it's perfectly alright if you disagree with me here, I wouldn't hold it against you. If you've actually taken the time to read this, thank you.
