If I’m anywhere near as lucky on the lotto ticket I bought yesterday, as you were with the spraying, I’m going to be a rich man in 12 hours 😂 Those are big paddocks, hoeing those weeds looks like some mighty fun work.
Is it not common to swath canola in your patch? Diquat is fine IF you're safe, very handy tool for some. You're in a tough spot, but I'd do what you did. Gets me seed for next year when I have the chance.
I am very happy with your posting frequency at the moment but I bet you don't forget your family time in a week or so though. All the best fo the festive season Henry.
Definitely woulda done what you did with the Canola the year has been bad enough without losing that to weather. How did Luke’s beans yield compared to yours? Didn’t look great.
Your opinion - I think they look awesome. Massive engineering structures harvesting electricity from the wind - and giving farmers steady income during a bad year too
It has become known now that the farmers in our area are responsible for pulling them down at the 25 year mark. They have had costings done and on today's figures it is approximately $900,00 to dismantle one and their annual payments amount to $750,000 for 25 years. The Albo government has passed legislation recently to hold farmers to that commitment. Yep they look like an engineering marvel.
The best way to capture maximum beans with crops like those Henry is to have a wind system on the front to help blow them in to the drapers. Like everything farming related, more money.
You do what you have to do Henry. Cheers
Looking good

Going to be a sad day an hard to farm if we loose reglone an gramoxzone, we use it to dedicate soybeans as well if they don’t dry down
old mate over at Stone Hut had the same mod to his front to get a bit more of the spinbley crops.
Ask Luke if he knows Pete Coles from down Clare way. They obviously buy their shirts from the same store.

Round up the weeds???
Reglone is banned this side of the wprld
In Denmar we hade had an off-label approved for reglone in engrapgræs.
Byt probably last year thes year.
Your not doing anything off label , spray away, move on
I'm probably the only one who thinks so but drone footage is getting a bit old.
Those windfarms are an ugly eyesore.
$40k p/yr minimum. For some it's the only way to keep the family farm.

Not to mention the ugly hit to our taxes.
