Jakarta was my favorite flight when i was still flying for saudia airlines. We even have flights to Surabaya, east of Indonesia. We love going to mangga dua and pasaraya mall for shopping, this was back in 1992! Indonesia is the closest i can go to to feel at home since it reminds me so much of the Philippines. Will always treasure all my happy layovers in Jakarta even if it was a long haul flight. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️

When I visited Jakarta before pandemic, I really felt I was with them. Indonesians are friendly, courteous and humble. I went to Blok M, Sarinah, Pondok Indah, Senayan Plaza, Mangga Dua, MONAS and some clubs. It is so easy to befriend them… their sense of humor is similar to Filipinos.. Even if they are Moslems, i was surprised that they have so many superstitious beliefs and some of them are similar to Pinoys.
