We know he tried and fell off the track prompting Vert to save his life, but in the process blocking the track for Money and Pork chop. And in the end Monkey ended up bringing back a Drone tire to upgrade their own tires. But what if Taro just lets Vert stay in front? Maybe one of them ends up beating the Drone to the portal, but never get better tires because of it.
I doubt it. Remember when Taro said that Vert's tires were overheating? By the time he got to the portal, his tires would've popped. So I believe that if Taro didn't pass Vert, the block would still have happened. This time Vert and Taro might've switched places.

Just gonna quickly blurt out a few ideas because I like the other ideas in the comments and now I'm tempted to say mine: -What if Tezla went with Vert into the realm? Something like Tesla: "It's too late for me-" Vert: "You know, I used to think like that." I always got the impression that Tezla was kind of sitting there, realizing how much hurt he did; waiting for all his mistakes to catch up to him when Gelorum attacked, whilst Vert's character arch was about to keep trying and learning despite your mistakes. -What if Tezla blackmails Kurt into not going into the cosmic realm witht the whole z36 thing? -What if a silencer was drawn through the portal into the acceledrome like the drones and Taro? -What if one of the metal maniacs found worn out parts from a highway 35 car?
I really like how natural these (for want of a better term,) fanfics are, to me at least, these sound like something that would happen in the world of acceleracers, but not necessarily something that would be written in the series, which sounds obvious but I can't help but admire it for an alternate timeline from the character's perspective.
I've got a couple spitball ideas. What if Taro doesn't pass Kadeem in the Storm realm? What would've happened to Monkey if Wylde had "scraped him off"? What if Vert's grapple caught Kadeem? What if one of the world race drivers had seen Ballistik in the Swamp Realm? What if Taro was trapped for the first time in Drone HQ? What if Vert hadnt wiped out in the Ruins Realm? Why did the accelcharger Tork had not work in the Cosmic realm?
It is so legit how different the story would be if Kurt was lost and not Wylde. As much as I like that part of the story, we already know as an audience that Kurt would go after his brother/put him first because we saw it in World Race. Sure, they have it rough this go around, but Kurt is able to set his feelings aside to save his lil brother. Wylde however, we need a lot of character growth to go after Kurt, and Vert would def be the one to band together the others (as the central character 'should') and it would give Vert a lot of growth as well to step up his game. I can def see Vert going through it for losing Kadeem, and then be dead serious to save Kurt. And, no offense to Wylde, but nobody seemed all TOO upset to lose him in the realm except for Kurt. It was like 'Hmm, tragic...' but I think losing Kurt would rile up several characters. They helped save Wylde out of their team obligations, not necessarily personal impact/they cared about him as a person like Kurt did. Also, the Metal Maniacs saving a 'Teku' driver would show their growth as team members/leaders, along with their level of respect towards Vert. Like they'd truly set apart their differences to help their rival team members, not just help out their rivals because Wylde is one of them. It would have been really interesting, actually. Thanks for the insight on alternative plot. It makes you look at the characters/story differently.
An I idea I just thought of. What is Shirako won the cliffside realm. I've seen a few people online say that he might've if Kurt didn't shunt him off the track for his own safety
If it happened in after breaking point, most likely in the ruins realm. i dont think the ultimate race would have initiated quite yet. so we could have seen a fully unified team prior to the ultimate race.
I thought i had an idea. What would have happened if Shirako had just turned his music down in the Cliffside realm? He would have heard Lani call to him and say Dont use the Booster. He would have either hit the EDR, or not hit the Booster at all, thus not needing Kurt to push him off the track, and scrapping his car in the process, leading to Shirako getting cornered in the Pipeline realm by a drone because he only had a bike and a silencer saved him because of it. Maybe meaning the drivers never discover the silencers. Buuuuuuut than I forgot that Taro found out about the Silencers literally a few scenes later.

I've got a what if. What if Kurt had actually let Mark Wylde join street breed. [Driver #14 is replaced with Markie, and #7 of Wave Rippers is filled with someone else. How would it change... What would it change.
Here is a What If, what happens if Kurt managed to convince Mark that the deal was bad and somehow managed to get out of it in time? Answer, probably used his original contacts from his pro racing history and get them caught before Mark got too deep in that shady business. Either that or managed to bail Mark on his original sentence as much as he could so it didn't took too much of Mark to hate Kurt. Even when the two would join the Teku and Metal Maniacs, Mark never became Wylde due to Kurt's help and even Mark would still be a bit of a jerk but would regret knowing Kurt sacrificed his reputation for his sake. Pretty much it be a Sibling Rivarly for sure without the one sided revenge Wylde attended to do that made him lose those races ever since. Heck even Wylde focused on the storm realm race which of course Mark would be the same and keep that demeanor of winning to be better than Kurt. Even if sometimes he would act like Wylde but not too much to face him like a true metal maniac. He sure would have a bit of Wylde on his tough side but never the jerkhead of his other persona had become
@@lol-ih1tl the realm closed before the drones could get to him anyway. i am sure if he wanted to hit it, he would have when he crashed. He realized he was in the wrong so he decided the drones would be better to go back to than the other drivers
