Natas is the reason I called myself a street skater. We had no skate parks and the nearest half pipe wasn't great, it had wood filler on the transition which made it sketchy as hell. But it is thanks to Natas as he pushed street skating to new levels. Legend! Loved his video clips. I started skating again last August after at least 25 years and am loving it again!
I skated from 85 to 92. Last trick I learned was the 360 flip(which wasn’t easy back then)..Natas was the first street skater who I idolized back then. Next was Hensley. Great times. Glad to see he’s still around.
@@calisober7 sadly I quit because I was too poor to buy a deck. Last deck I bought was a Santa Cruz ever slick. Cracked in in half after two weeks. Next came raves/drugs/college/work/back surgery/marriage/kids and to complete the circle of my life….saved by Jesus:) I’ve thought about buying me a new deck/not to do tricks but to feel the air blow past around my face and hear the wheels chachunkchachunkchachunk over the cracks of a sidewalk as I push. Just never got around to it. There’s an old Tom Knox quote I read many many years ago, he said “once a skate, always a skater”. Last year this little kid was skating in my neighborhood, I asked him if he could do a kick flip he said no he just started skating. I asked if I could see his board and he handed it to me and I did a kick flip for the first time in 30 years. Feels good to be connected to a universal language of people who understand what this means to each other. Peace ✌️ my friend:)
Great to see the big homie out there still finding ways to shred like a beast. Much love.

You didn't quit skateboarding because you got old, you got old because you quit skateboarding. - Jay Adams
