- Let me teach you how to make PUP CUPS! It's homemade ice cream for dogs. My little guys love these frozen dogs treats for summer. This frozen dog treat recipe is ice cream for dogs. It's simple dog treats you can make at home and show your dogs how much you love them. Pollux and Maxxie love them!
If you're looking for a dog treats with peanut butter recipe or a dog treats with banana recipe, I'm going to show you how to make dog popsicles that your furry friends are sure to love on a hot summer day. And I have a special helper in my kitchen :)
If your dog doesn't like peanut butter or bananas, you could substitute with pumpkin. Yum!

Good idea! Thanks. I’m going to for go the Milkbones and just put the mixture in to the cups and let Gidget lick away. It will b like the store bought ones w/ out added preservatives. I’m also going to use almond butter instead. She will love them bc she LOVES all the ingredients. Thanks so much. Woof from Gidget.
Hmm 🤔 wondering if my cat Boo Boo Magoo would like a smaller one. I just bought a tiny ice tray. Yep, I think I’ll try it since he’s a dog inside a cats body, so he thinks! Not going to try and change his mind anymore. I guess he’s convinced me. Only took him 7 years. Lol

Pollux might have had a rough start in life for the first year and a half. When you stumbled across his picture and then followed up by adopting him, he couldn’t have asked for a more perfect family to join.. Bless you all for what you did.

This is awesome! Thank you! Just a little note from a former vet assistant (me) be sure to read the ingredients in your peanut butter and yoghurt before making. Some natural sweeteners added to them (like xylitol) are deadly to pets even in small doses. Also if your pet is lactose intolerant he may get an upset tummy.
Very good information. Do you have any recommendations for a peanut butter ingredient substitute? My dog is allergic.

Thanks Dawn! Pollux is a sweetie! Tried to get him in the video while I was making the cups inside, but he was too busy running around in the yard. He didn't want to come in! LOL. Maxxie is lazy and was content hanging in the kitchen with me :)

Maxxie is a big cuddle bug! If I sit down anywhere, he runs right over to get in my lap :). And he is such a good boy too. Never causes trouble, doesn't get into things, and is super chill unless he sees a squirrel outside then he HAS TO BARK!

loved watching the boys enjoy their pup cups!! I make something similar w/mashed sweet potato or pumpkin as well as PB & mashed banana. I don't give our dog wheat or dairy & the jerky idea is great...or even a short bully stick will work. thank you so much!

This is my second summer making pup cuts and my boys enjoy them. This year to save space in the freezer I put them in cupcake paper in a muffin tin. I was able to rest the tin easier then Dixie cups, I kept finding pup cups in random places. When they were frozen I put the tin in warm water for about 10 seconds and they popped out and the paper peels off easy and I put them in their bowls. Then the others go into a ziploc baggie into the freezer. Thank you for a great recipe for my boys, Louie and Noodle (Buggy and Boo).
I made these for my Pyrenees last Sunday. On Monday she got the first one and thought it was pretty darn tasty. Yesterday, when she saw me get the cup out of the freezer, I could barely get around her so I could shut the freezer door. She was 95 pounds of excited dog. These will be regulars for Lark and me.

Yummy! I substitute yogurt with pumpkin purée and no sugar added apple sauce and I freeze it in the ice cube trays🐶
