  • This is a re-edit of two videos from a few years ago. I think this version is better than my previous attempt. The Ashe Juniper box is a multi-axis turning giving it three sides. I hope you like the new version. If you have questions that I didn't answer, feel free to contact me. Thanks for watching. Please Like, Subscribe and Share.

It actually turned out really nice Billy but boy can I relate to the argument aspects of this project. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I'm building a 1:12 scale model of an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, a $300 kit plus hours of work and materials already. Everything I attempted fought me tooth and nail. Finally had to stand up and walk away from my bench before I wall tested the chassis!

Great piece, and some interesting turning techniques with the multi-axis. Good idea with the Rubber Bands on the Dovetail Jaws, I usually just use painters tape by wrapping a couple of layers with the jaws open about 10mm and cut between them which leaves a little flap to wrap around the side of the jaws so the edges also don't mark up the work piece.

Typical "Never Give Up" Billy style! I really like the final outcome, buddy! I think it was worth all the effort you gave it. Let me also say, the focus issues notwithstanding, this was your best produced, high-quality, well paced video I have seen. Well done, my friend!

Nice recovery, Billy. I, too, miss seeing Robbie's videos. His three sided box has been on my to-do list for quite some time. Have you tried using the Elbow tool on the 2014 yet? Oh, and I like the homemade tool rest you were using.

Well Billy I don't know what to say. In one episode you have paid homage to another good turner, become a member of the funnel club (check Mike Waldt's latest) and graduated with honours from the Tim Yoder Design Modification school. Think I'm gonna go to the woods and whittle some spoons. Oh nice job by the way.👍👍👍
