My first car.. A 1975 Honda Civic. I had a silver one with a 4 speed manual, not the hatchback, but the little trunk one, parents got it for me when I was in 11th grade of high school in '87 for $500, from a guy who was the head patrol car mechanic for the San Diego Police Dept. at the time, so the car ran great. Had for a couple years and ended up finding out the car was only running on 3 cylinders, but it never broke down and ran like a champ, kept up fine at highway speeds. Miss that little car now.
I was a kid, never had one, but we’d go to the dealership get a brochure and I’d spend hours looking at these lil CIVICS, we were poor so even though I’d never have one I could dream and dream I did ❤️
I had a yellow 1975 cvcc when I was 16. We took that little car everywhere. My favorite fun ride to date and I am almost 55. I had no idea it only had 54HP

Hey Man, we saw you choke "Old Yeller" at the "start" of this video. How crude (by modern standards)! I also planned a snide comment if the RPMs didn't drop to 800: foiled again.

This is the special 5 speed model with tachometer, wood steering wheel, etc. What a rare survivor!

I had this exact looking car from 1975 to 1979 ...Sorry I sold her. A little gem.....
A sweet little putt-putt.
I had the 1975 cvcc 4 speed metallic blue, most fun car I ever owned…gotta love a hand chock.
The engine ran so clean that it did not need catalytic converters.

Also hit trees at 75mph and walked away with just a few scratches. The engine was pushed back to the firewall. I miss that car

Are you sure this is a '75? The two air intakes just ahead of the wipers didn't show up till late '76 and continue til '78 I think.
Impossible to find a replacement windshield
yellow is such a goofy color for that shape and model lol
