This reminded me of how once in my FIFA23 Career I powershot the ball from like a distance of 12-15 meters from the goal, and the keeper saved it with his balls. (I shot with Haaland fyi) Imagine saving Haaland’s shot with your balls irl…💀

Last part is wrong. You can press the shoot button, *wait a little* while you are doing the run up, but you are able to change the direction in the middle of the run up.
It's much less pronounced than old fifas. In older versions it was very obvious where they were looking. Wasn't foolproof though because they still could chip it down the middle and you dived out of the way because you read the head movement.
This seems to be true for players with higher penalty stats I've noticed that players with lower penalty stats will tend to shoot where they are looking
Look the hand if it is close to body then he is going to kick the ball left, and if it is away from body it is right( *if penalty is taken from left side*) and vice versa
I played also and i watched their eyes, can't do that in fifa either. Also 90% were right footed and 90% of them kicked to their left with the natural swing of their leg, so if i dived right it was typically a save. Also not a fifa thing. I probably have saved more pens in real life than on the bloody game 😂
If you wanna score a penalty during the match, switch your penalty taker from left footed to right footed (vice-versa) and shoot down the middle. I haven’t missed a single pen since I’ve started doing this

Unless of course the game decides to send your keeper the opposite direction of your input just for kicks. This happens to me about 20% of the time and only when I chose correctly forcing me to let the goal in.
Most times the planted foot will point in the direction where they're going to kick the ball... you can practice penalties in the Arena and see for yourself.
I’ve saved 80% of penelties at me by pure gut instinct.
That's cause the game is unrealistic

Keepers left all day long, save about 70% of pens
yeah i've conceded 2 pens out of like 18 and im not joking, always go right and never doubt that side, most of the time it'll get saved.

This is still FIFA though. Sometimes the game decides that your Keeper either doesn't dive, or dives the wrong way.
The problem is opponent also watching this 😭

I 100% of the time change my direction at the last second. If someone moves left, I'm going right
You can change the direction of the penalty kick last second before the player kicks the ball. I've done it plenty of times.

Just look at the kicking foot. This is how you save pens irl and also applies to FIFA.
Best way to save pens is to look where you would shoot and drive that way. (Quick decision though)
