Tried a sample of it... First time it was not an immediate love. Second time I wore it, I got hooked on the dry down and longevity. Quite possibly my favorite Invictus release of the entire line.
You know, I might be one of the few ppl that actually really liked this fragrance from the jump! Idk why but right away when I tested it at Sephora I got the bubblegum scent of Invictus immediately and I liked everything that came after! And now that I own the 100ml bottle I have to say this fragrance is really really freakin good!!! I love the way it smells when I catch those random whiffs.... Thanks again for the awesome vid Ross! You are my GO-TO for any and all questions or concerns I have about a fragrance! 💯✌️
It was my SOTD today as well. and my first wearing and it was a champ. I really like it. It is an acquired taste but I would say for a mature nose. Nothing off putting at all for me. 8-8.5/10, easily!!!!
I bought the 200ml for 80 bucks from Macy’s during a sale, cheaper than the 100ml. This an acquired taste that I love. I appreciate the the house branching off to try something different.
Hey Ross. I blind bought it about 2 months ago. This is the first Invictus fragrance I have ever owned and what turned me on to it was the absinthe note. I do not love this fragrance but I do not hate it. I personally get about 7 hours out of it on my skin and I have gotten a couple compliments from it. I think it can be worn year round, but personally I am really looking forward to trying it out in the fall.
First hour is a bit overpowering and sweet, dry down is good but I usually feel sick of it by that point unfortunately. Instead of spraying my body I spray my clothes an hour before wearing them.
Nice review Ross, in depth as always. For me, I tried this on a sample card and thought it smelled quite nice... So gave it a try on my skin. It's a no from me. Just didn't smell all that good on my skin at all, it hit the base quite quickly and I just got a lot of patchouli, hardly any of the mint came through and I'm a big mint fan. Just didn't work for me.
Ross I highly recommend giving Invictus Victory another wearing. I personally feel that it's the best in The Invictus line. I want to try Platinum but I'm going to wait for it to hit discounters. Most reviews have been been lackluster. Awesome review though
It’s not love at first spray trust me, it’s the dry down that is divine excellence. I love the invictus line the original one is my favorite but platinum is a beast once it has settled I’m not sure why it’s the dry down that smells great, definitely a compliment getter that smells like you just just popped out the shower.
I loved this scent as soon as I sprayed it on. I hate the bottle though. I’m not a person that hates bottles , I like Phantom and all the Bad Boy ones but I can’t get past this one 😂
I sprayed it and found it to be a weird choice for the line. To me, this one and victory could be flankers of a flanker. They don't seem to fit in the line because they don't have much of the original DNA.
It's definitely a Scent what you have to smell in the Air, and not upclose on Skin.. Think it's a great Summer Night out (Clubbing) Scent. I think it smells unique.
Off of the sample of Platinum I went through, I found it to be pretty good, but also the worst fragrance in the line. Victory is 10X better in every category.
I got this and Herrera cobalt at the same time in a Bloomingdale’s box. When I get samples I go to fragrantica to see which ones I think I’ll like/dislike. I saw these two heavily compared and did a side by side. VERY, VERY similar. Only difference is paco lasts hours longer. Just got a 50 mL in Mercari for $43. Had a 100 mL gift set lined up for $60 but the b!tch sold it out from under me and said “in the end that’s the way it worked out… sorry”. I’m sure I’ll end up with a backup bottle because this will get heavy use this spring… I LOVE IT! Along with the rest of the invictus line. RIP Mr. Rabbane.
I sorta agree with your take here, it’s an underrated fragrance even among people that like it. I’ve heard comps to one million lucky and I don’t get that at all, Paco Rabanne seems like they’re in a weird spot: either they just do another bubble gum sweet fragrance and have frag com bash them or do something different and get based for not being what everyone expects. This is a very progressive fragrance, reminds me of Rush. There’s something there you like but it isn’t quite an instant love. However, once you warm up to it? It’s incredible. It’s a mass appealing acquired taste.
@@TLTGReviews it feels kinda weird calling an Invictus a progressive fragrance but it’s definitely out there. I like it. No regrets paying retail. It was interesting to see your rating increase two full points.

@@backbeatfragrances Easily my favorite from the line. It’s very unique, super strong, and very pleasing in my opinion.

I love platinum in the Dry Down. Compliment magnet. One of my go to summer night fragrances when I go to bars.
I really gravitate to this Invictus in particular more so than the rest. Something about it, speaks to me.
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day

Great review my friend. I didn’t like this fragrance as much when I first tried it but it has definitely grown on me
I've heard the dry down is where you get hooked on that one!

This one's performance surprised me in a good way! I do enjoy the scent

I pretty much blind buy all my fragrances. I really like this one. But then again, I really like pretty much all fragrances lol
This one definitely grows on you and it was not what I expected first time sprayed

Agree. Victory is the best in the line.
This reminded me a little of 1 million lucky
Does it smell like Nutella ?

How would you compare this one to bad boy cobalt? I tried them side by side and find them similar.
Great video and information

I don’t find Platinum smelling bitter on my skin. I like it :)
I still prefer Invictus as a guilty pleasure though.
I did the same thing at Ulta I'll try again soon

I blind bought it because I feel it’s going to get the axe soon.
Armaf Odyssey Aqua = Invictus Platinum
If you like this one, you've got to try Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Electrique.
I love it, it's a lot like Bad Boy Cobalt which i love also
I felt the exact same way about this and still do. I passed on it
It's definitely unlike anything I've ever smelled before. Not the most mass-appealing for certain.
Off of the sample of Platinum I went through, I found it to be pretty good, but also the worst fragrance in the line. Victory is 10X better in every category.
Victory is a masterpiece
paco rabane smell is impressive among clg student 🔥
ok let's go and I'll buy both this and the original hahaha

Call me crazy, but this reminds me of PDM Kalan
Edit: now it's to the dry down stage and it resembles ysl ultime
I loveeee it
I disagree invictus platinum is mass pleasing . The DNA is a very likable DNA. I like it alot
This is god fragrance
Слишком мятный...мне понравилось...
👍👍👍👍👍👍
