Hardcore/sci-fi/horror/immersive/realistic/military gaming would be peaked and everyone's dream satisfied. Also why not some companions? I would love to exploit the zone with all mighty Gaben. FYI the fuzzy hair anomaly is based on basically the same anomaly fom the book Roadside Picnic, which the Stalker Universe is based on. The hair anomalies, atleast in the book, grow or appear on metal and electical devices.

Did he ever learn that you can tear the faction patch off of outfits so that your friendly factions don't shoot you in the fucking head on sight? It's a pretty handy mechanic when you find a fancy Exo-suit on a dead Monolith guy, and WOULDN'T like to gunfight literally every other faction in the game.
*1: JSRS sound mod for Anomaly is hands-down the best gun sound mod I've ever heard. The shots are loud, fading to pops with distance, sonic snaps and cracks...... you want your firefights to sound like real firefights..... you need JSRS mod. It was originally for ARMA 3, so you can count on realism. Just make sure you get the latest version, and have the latest patch for Anomaly! Tellin' ya'! It'll blow your mind!* 2: I noticed that the AN-94 "Abakan" is missing an important function in Anomaly, which nobody else seems to have fixed.... but I figured it out. I'll just tell you guys how to fix it if you're interested! First, the real AN-94 is select-fire semi-auto, "hyper-burst", and full-auto. The hyper-burst fires 2 rounds at 1800rpm, and if you have it in full-auto, the first 2 rounds will fire in hyper-burst and then the rifle will cycle down to 600rpm. In Anomaly, the hyper-burst is set to 1200rpm for some reason, but more importantly, in full-auto, it's just regular 600rpm without the hyper-burst at the beginning. *You can fix this problem by editing the Abakan's LTX file (configs-items-weapons) and changing the line "rpm_mode_2 = 1200" to "rpm_mode_2 = 1800 for the correct hyper-burst speed. As for the correct hyper burst function in full auto, you have to add a missing line to the LTX under the Abakan's base parameters section (the top part of the LTX) . It's "cycle_down = true" and you just have to add it between the lines "ef_weapon_type =7" and "default_to_ruck" yeah, just add that shit in there real nice like, and then save the file. Now your AN-94 will behave like it's fuckin' sposed' to!* Good hunting, stalker.
If you want even more cool guns though, Boomsticks and Sharpsticks works well with JSRS, and also comes in a package with THAP, which has some very nice hand models, be sure to download ЦЕМЕНТ'S viewmodels, it should be in the addons listed as the ''fixed edition'' you're going to want it unless you want all the other guns to look crap with the BAS viewmodel, which might I add is miles better than vanilla, in addition there's a very good 3rd person model pack made from a couple of CoC addons, it's called the Anomaly HD Models Addon [Exoskeleton_Update] DO NOT download any of the other HD mods though because they most likely WILL mess up your game, and start a new game if you plan on using these mods. Along with the aforementioned JSRS those are my top mods, the vanilla models are still pretty much as ugly for the most part as they were all those years ago, but the fixed HD model addon really makes the game look like Stalker 2 if it was made a few years after CoP. Do keep in mind that better models means most likely a drop in performance for low end systems, haven't tried it myself but if you already struggle to run Anomaly then it's probably not for you.
You are the first person I've noticed that has mentioned this fairly gleaming issue.. When I first noticed the AN-94 in game, I was STOKED! I'm such a sucker for that sweet ass "instant double tap" feature.. Oh how I was disappointed when i quickly equipped it and straight away tried it out and instead of BAANG! (it should be so quick you don't even hear the second "B" in the second BANG!") I got "Bu-Bang"... Sure its still fast, but NOT what it should be and there is a reason for it being SO quick besides just being cool, it makes it much more accurate in that specific mode, slowing the cyclic rate that much actually affects the accuracy, significantly reducing the effectiveness of that function, almost entirely defeating the purpose behind "hyper-fire"? anyways, sorry for the rant and thank you for your fix, i LOVE S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so much and im really looking forward to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in 2021.. in fact, I plan on getting a new Xbox just because it is going to be an Xbox exclusive release.. hopefully it will be on PC too tho..

It's even worse depending on the lighting, sometimes you'll see them as huge black contrasting spots on the floor, sometimes they just look like parts of the ground texture, I've had to memorize the shit in that tunnel and I still don't trust myself with it. With the right lighting it blends right in.

Little fucker was messing with my screen and freaking me out for a few minutes, until it decided to finally charge out of the bushes with what I can only assume was the intent to headbutt me right in the sack. Needless to say I threw my mouse into the air which pulled taut and whipped into the wall.... Cried my self to sleep that night.

I killed two guys and waited like a full minute or so before I went up to loot and when I was in the looting screen the third guy came up and iced me. He used his dead friends as bait. They will also move to flank you in a firefight and move quietly when they get close.
Oh yes thats true. Every time you loot someone after killing him you have to be careful because his buddy might be around the corner - just waiting to kill you when your gun is lowered. This intense and terrifying stuff is why Stalker is one of my favourite franchises ever. I'm very proud that I'm one of those hipsters who first played SoC in 2007 :D
I have been in the same situation of killing two guys in the same car park and one still alive hiding, then when i left that guy send a radio message about looting his dead friends so i went back and killed him. When it works, it is pretty good but half of the times they run into enemies or get killed by rats
Yeah expect when you realize that fuzz also is on the ground, plus the ground stuff can blend in because the lighting isn't perfect, it can go from a black spot on light grey to just another dark spot that looks almost exactly like those dark green mossy looking spots in the ground texture. In anomaly I'm also pretty damn sure that slow walking does nothing because I just died yesterday in that tunnel, at night, essentially crawling through the whole thing, this ain't vanilla.
if anyone is interest, this game is on its mostly final update, is much easier to download and more cohesive in total. and theres a massive modding community to fix things you dont like about it. also theres volume sliders for rain/environment sounds by default now.
Ecologist is the easiest faction starting out or to beat story with for anyone interested in playing this. Literally only monolith and bandits are your enemies and you get a mossberg shotgun and glock which are ideal. Edit; assuming you dont play on survivalist like madman over here.

@@alpha48z I usually just prefer starting out as a merc. Free Stalkers being your enemy isn't such a big deal, but it does make doing the story mode a lot harder.

Misery isn't worth it anymore, as much as it pains me to say, the old engine just isn't anywhere near as good as the x64 version, you're likely to crash a lot more, plus for me personally there's a lot of stuff like stutter which makes Misery almost unplayable at times, unless they manage to give it the same treatment Anomaly got I'd say it's not worth the trouble. Especially when it comes to streaming, you've all seen Tomato crash in Anomaly and I can guarantee that is gonna happen even more in Misery.

7 months old, but still it's interesting to see a semi popular stream who is actually good at STALKER, not to mention has experience with Anomaly.
I'm watching this for the 3rd time in a year, super enjoyable! Stalker mods are cool asf especially Anomaly.

Yeah expect when you realize that fuzz also is on the ground, plus the ground stuff can blend in because the lighting isn't perfect, it can go from a black spot on light grey to just another dark spot that looks almost exactly like those dark green mossy looking spots in the ground texture. In anomaly I'm also pretty damn sure that slow walking does nothing because I just died yesterday in that tunnel, at night, essentially crawling through the whole thing, this ain't vanilla.
if anyone is interest, this game is on its mostly final update, is much easier to download and more cohesive in total. and theres a massive modding community to fix things you dont like about it. also theres volume sliders for rain/environment sounds by default now.

Ecologist is the easiest faction starting out or to beat story with for anyone interested in playing this. Literally only monolith and bandits are your enemies and you get a mossberg shotgun and glock which are ideal. Edit; assuming you dont play on survivalist like madman over here.
The only drawback to playing Ecologist is no one in the faction sells weapons/armor/ammo. You have to find all of your gear and fix it up.
@@1stgradevernacular925 This is true but generally I just use shotgun/ pistol till I can get to the dead city and trade with mercs who generally have the best weapons.

@@alpha48z I usually just prefer starting out as a merc. Free Stalkers being your enemy isn't such a big deal, but it does make doing the story mode a lot harder.

Misery isn't worth it anymore, as much as it pains me to say, the old engine just isn't anywhere near as good as the x64 version, you're likely to crash a lot more, plus for me personally there's a lot of stuff like stutter which makes Misery almost unplayable at times, unless they manage to give it the same treatment Anomaly got I'd say it's not worth the trouble. Especially when it comes to streaming, you've all seen Tomato crash in Anomaly and I can guarantee that is gonna happen even more in Misery.
