- I really wanted some lights for the bed of my 2021 Ram Rebel and after watching a few other light setups on youtube I decided to do something similar to what @WaterFowler41 did in his video which you can watch here:

My DIY truck bed LED light setup is installed on a 2021 Ram Rebel with a WeatherTech AlloyCover tonneau. This worked out really well and it puts out plenty of light. I am really glad I did this project.

so its been around a year or so since you made this video. very nice and helpful by the way have you had any issue or problem with the truck tapping off the stud you tapped off? any check lights or truck acting after install do to the led lights

Can I get your Vin# to confirm parts needed
I have heads up and 12” screen
So I have a loaded Rebel minus the the 360, adaptive cruise, lane assist etc
With vin I could match parts

So what you want is what they called the Advanced Safety Group package. That contained the Pedestrian Emergency Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam control, Lane Assist, Parking Assist and Surround-View Cameras. I had to drive 500 miles to get what I wanted and I got it right when Ram stopped allowing you to order that package and the Technology Package that had the Heads Up Display. So literally the night I found out that Ram, no longer let you order with those packages I searched auto trader to find one that had that stuff and went the next day and bought it. That is when the huge chip shortages were going on.

I did the same exact thing but i’m getting low low brightness, i put the cables with my dewalt drill battery and they are bright as hell can someone tell me what i did wrong? They get power but it’s just very dim and its very well grounded?
Maybe check your connection to the battery. That is all I can think of if your ground is good.
What is your 3rd break light assembly?
I have not touched the 3rd break light assembly at all so it is factory.
@@BooneDownSouth oh ok I thought it’s a aftermarket one, looks nice though and probably yours has a 360* camera.
@@mekanikongpinoy8126 Yep mine has the 360 cameras.
How did you snake the wires to the switch?
So if you go to 2:41 in the video, I show you where I run the wires from the switch. Basically goes in that hole and down. The wiring from the driver side also is going down in this same area just different hole. If you jump to 4:46 you will see the view of the red wiring coming down from the switch, which will tie into your other wiring with one going to ground and one going to a hot terminal.
