I used acrylic paint to stiffen the fabric and to put the wrinkles and fold in as it dries. I also use pastel dust to brush over the skin tone to make it more realistic before going in with other details. A lot of 12 inch figure painters use that technique.
I am in awe as always. As someone who is new to customization, watching your vids really helps with the placement of the clay. Nowhere near your standard yet, but having a good time trying! My kids certainly seem to appreciate Daddies effort though and we get to spend quality time together making.
Absolutely fantastic work Greg. The absence of music didn't make a difference at all, I was glued to the screen!. I'm blown away by your work and so jealous that figure isn't in my collection. Thanks so much for sharing
Amazing talent! I'm not sure if I'm motivated to try something like this or overwhelmed and give up before I try lol! I would like to have custom figures for my characters for my TH-cam stop motion videos I'm working on, that would be dope
I want to do this but without the moveable parts. Have the character in a pose instead. Could you tell me what supplies you used and maybe some tips on how to go about this?
U have the gift of creation my friend!!!! I love your custom Gambit video and this Superman is just perfect. Keep it up and make a custom Wolverine video but make him look badass
Tried to upload it six times with different tracks, failed every time. SO upset, but hopefully if everyone watches the video as intended it will meet their expectations. Thanks for watching Death.
apoxy clay is good for making figures but it gets quite heavy after its done drying. blank figure bodys are quite expensive i use elite wwe figures for a base
Hello. Would like to know, how do you harden the clay when you have already put the clay on the base body? Oven bake? Or are you using air hardened clay type? Cause i bought a true type body, and im afraid if i pit it in the oven to harden the clay, it might melt the base body. Pls advise. Thanks
awesome work. must not be easy to slowly paint and sculpt everything urself. why not try an injustice superman custom or a new 52 superman? would be really unique.

Best Superman custom I've ever seen. Flawless work
Tutorials will be added to the channel. It's just going to be a slow process with school starting.
I use it because it makes a good frame when sanded down, I also like the 90 degree hips and it has solid articulation as well.
use what?
