Neo Sonic is actually easy, You're probably just making it more complicated, you just kinda have to toss it to your thumb and catching it with your index.

For me neo Sonic reverse is much easier than neo Sonic....whenever I do neo Sonic the pen bounces off my index finger and it never comes to the point of catching but still I will work on it to make my neo Sonic harmonic
How are you doing a charge? Are you catching the pen on your middle finger? If not you may be using too much force or holding the pen in the wrong orientation.

My advice is to move to pen towards forward with having more weight. For ex- Holding out your pen before the cap portion so that the weight is shifted more towards the middle finger. I hope you have done it as this comment being 7 months old
My 21cm pen keeps hitting fingers while trying to spin and lol it does is spin like the thumb roll or stays connected to my fingers that’s what happens it isn’t helping me
I just use marker caps and rubber bands for these tricks but somehow i learned all the fundamentals, fingerless TA and neo sonic, rev neo sonic wow EDIT: alex can i ask wut is the name of the trick where u mix TA, neo sonic reverse, finger pass, neo sonic and TA rev. Also can u make a vid on doing this is it a combo or linkage
Just make your own pen mod if you're a beginner....take a pen with a cap...take another pen...remove its cap and attach it to the other side on the previous pen

Cuz u need practice. The PRACTICE is the key into pen spinning. Eont expect u can do most of the tricks in first try.
I'm starting to see that the main thing at least for me for learning tricks is all about hitting that balance sweet spot on the pen

For real tho, neo sonic normal took me like 15-30 mins to master and reverse took me 2 tries
