Jesus had both his public ministry to the multitudes and his personal discipleship of his own disciples. His public teaching ministry looked much like Marge's teaching method (the history teacher in the video above) and his day-to-day discipleship looked more like Tom's (the guitar tutor from the same video). Today's churches try to apply this the same idea of teaching large groups and tutoring smaller ones, of lecturing to the big group and listening to one another in small group. To accommodate large group lectures, churches usually build auditoriums. To accommodate programs with smaller gatherings such as Sunday School classes and Bible studies, they often add on classrooms. Good job on explaining some of the issues.
If you wish to incite a riot in a mainstream church, try to tell them to be disciples and disciple makers. Tell them to teach the Bible and not church distinctives. Ask the paid workers to forego compensation for a year and depend on GOD to meet their needs while making disciples.
So true! Like in John 6 where Jesus told the disciples to eat His flesh and drink His blood, they didn’t like hearing that much. Today, if you tell Christians that they will likewise walk away. Tell them they have to obey Jesus and they will leave you in a heartbeat - this is hard saying, who can understand it?

How can anyone ' make ' a disciple I ask you ? The words of the Lord Jesus Christ in my King James Bible say ' Teach all nations '. If we teach our children and new converts the truth ( King James Bible ) they will become disciple as the Holy Ghost guides them ( not us ). This ' make disciples ' heresy is just one of thousands of deliberate ones in all modern ( post 1881 ) bibles which are of course approved by the vatican. The evil behind modern so called bibles is clearly exposed in the niv which says the Lord Jesus Christ is a liar ( John 7 : 8 niv ) and a sinner ( Matthew 5 : 22 niv ) along with numerous omissions to satisfy the satanic vatican cult.
