    I made this Tamara. I am very happy with how it turned out. I have my sewing scissors and longer things in it. It will be great to take with me to sewing guild days and retreats. Wish I could send you a pic.

      @@TamarasJoyDIY I just have one question, on your video you say main fabric 131/4” in your notes it is 133/4 . Can you let me know please, which one to use. Thank you 😊

    I am wanting to make one of these but was beginning to think again after watching some vidoes on it. Then I came across yours. Why can't other explain it like this. Now I'm going to make one of these. YAY, I will go to the shop and buy some interfacing and begin. Thank you!

    Just wondered if you put like a plastic tub or something to hold the pencil upright? Love this, great idea.❤️

      @TamarasJoyDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Thelma! You could add a container into it if you wanted to. But it does stand up on its own without one :)

    How tall does this bag stand up? I want to able to put my tombow dual brush pens and there about 7.5 inches tall.

    Hi. I am a very visual person and for some reason I couldn't follow the video. My first attempt finished at the trash can. I'll make another second attempt until I succeed. thanks for the tutorial.

      I hope it worked for you the second time Olga. Practice and redoing things is part of learning how to sew. It can be frustrating but don’t quit! It is soooo worth it in the end.

    Would it work with a vinyl bottom?

    • @TamarasJoyDIY
      @TamarasJoyDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Partially, the top half of the bottom though needs to be flexible to squish down. So you would need to piece two pieces together if you use vinyl.

    Lining slides above the body when slide pulls down...
    Don't see this happen in your video...
    What did I do wrong?

    • @TamarasJoyDIY
      @TamarasJoyDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Marcia, The only thing I can think of is either the canvas fabric you used for the base was too thick? Or perhaps did you add interfacing to the center canvas fabric all the way to the top instead of half way up? I hope this doesn't discourage you from trying again. Sewing is all about learning...and seam ripping ;) Hope the above helped.

    • @alyssacrutchfield9518
      @alyssacrutchfield9518 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I sew my lining with just a slightly tighter seam allowance than the outer and this helps with the bunching
