According to Seymour Hersh, Bin Laden was captured by Pakistani intelligence and held in captivity until a retired intelligence officer marched into U.S embassy spilling the beans and claiming the 25 million dollar bounty. US then proceeded to basically tell Pakistan to hand him over and the attack was in fact staged. Not that I really know what is true but I would ask anyone scoffing at this information to look at Hersh's credentials and previous work as an investigative journalist. Pakistan didn't "cry foul" the president of Pakistan then thanked Obama on a phone call because they were receiving millions in aid, the relationship between the countries did go down later in December when US Nato killed Pakistani soldiers mistaking them for militants, this caused the downfall of US-Pak relations and Pak cut off Nato supply to Afghanistan. Source: Obamas 2020 book
Lmao, you detained the guy who cooperated with the cia in eliminating bin laden, your military issued threat and cried foul for "violating their sovereignty". Do you even live in your medieval nation?
I’d like to point out the fact that Pakistan took in 3 million refugees and suffered 70,000 casualties from their support of the US in it’s war on terror. There are more afghanis in Pakistan today than there are in Afghanistan. Pakistan has extremely limited infrastructure and resources to vet every single one of these 3 million refugees at every single point across the extensive Durand Line so the odds of Osama slipping in under-the-radar in disguise are extremely high. It doesn’t mean the country was harboring him. If you’ve ever been to Pakistan you would know how easy it would be for a disguised OBL to wander around the country in plain sight but to accuse Pakistan of “harboring” him while the people in Pakistan had to go about their day-to-day lives constantly under the threat of suicide attacks just for trying to be a mediator of peace in the region is just plain insane.
he was living in a big ass compound a couple of miles from a military academy, with the ISI being what it is with deep connections to the militants I'd say it is quite reasonable to assume he had at minimum the tacit approval of some elements of the ISI and/or military in Pakistan. I was born 2 years after 9/11, yet every year I was in school, we were taught of that day and everyday that appeared on my state’s television channel, we were reminded of the ongoing war over in that region of the world. I remembered hearing of ISIS, the Taliban, suicide bombings. I saw the results of these wars when veterans of this war came to my schools and share their war stories of their friends deaths and their near death experiences. My brother served over there for a couple years near the end of the war, I don’t know how much action he saw, but everyday for the past 20 years I’ve been alive, we were constantly reminded of this war. Yet my nana worked with people(Muslims) who came from that warring region and were some of the nicest people I knew. No need to be polite. There was joy at the mass murders' death.
Why didn't Osama didn't drink coke? Because it says bush when opened.
You'd be surprised .....
I’ll never forget I was in 8th grade woke up to get ready for school the news was on from the night before I see hundreds of people outside of the White House and Times Square and the caption said “we got em UBL is dead.” At first I was like who is UBL? Then after a second I realized they meant Osama Bin Laden. I knew it was a moment I’d never forget as it was happening I remember waking my mom up who got my dad and we all stood in the living room at watched

I remember that sad as day 20 years ago I was only 10yrs old but I will say the feeling of our country our people coming together afterwards was the best feeling ever. Won't ever be that way again.
unless we get 9/11 2.0 and then another subsequent search and kill I guess. Knock on wood that never happens though

'...With most on the ground saying it was the most ferocious bombing campaign they'd ever experienced.'
The fact that these people have so enough experience with being bombed to be able to compare bombings against each other is actually the saddest part about this video.
Excellent job

I was in school in 3rd grade on 9/11. The teachers weren't allowed to tell us what what was happening, but a lot of other kids we being picked up early and we didn't know why. I remember when I was picked up, first thing I asked my parents why they packed me lunch if I was being picked up early.

BA DA BUM BUM TSHSHSHSHHSHS
September 11th, 2001: I was in school, I had been excused to go use the restroom. While indisposed I heard someone running down the hallway screaming at the top of his lungs: “WE HAVE BEEN ATTACKED!” On my way back to class every classroom door was open with the news blaring on every television. Once I made it back to class an announcement was made over the school PA system stating that school was mandatorily being let out early as a result of what was going on. Watching the Twin Towers fall, and the rest of that hell at such a young age is something that will stick with me for the remainder of my life. So sad!
Yea it hurt, I lived in NYC, Bronx at the time in school. They told everybody GO STRAIGHT HOME. It was the 1st time I ever seen everybody in NYC band together don't make what race you are people was helping each other, the towers going down hurt me ALOT since I been there on a school trip.
I think we could have titled this "The hunt for a rabid terrorist" and we would have known who it was as well.
I happened to be in detention too during lunch when 9/11 happened. Odd shared detention experience lol Except the teacher let us watch it on the news as it was happening, and that's when the second plane hit. She then quickly shut it off as a few other teacher gathered out in the hall where they rolled the tv out to, and continued watching without us.. Wild realization at the younger age to think that an actual terrorist attack was happening! To see the fear in the eyes of those who have family in NY is something that stuck with me throughout the years growing up.
This was a good one, dude.
I was a 10month old baby when 9/11 happened
Im now a 20 year old man

The piece should've started when the real hunt started, that is, right after kenya embassy bombing.
As also the Torra Borra mountain strikes weren't the first ones to target Laden in Afghanistan but rather it was the cruise missile strikes even before 9/11.
And right before 9/11 USA had readied a Pakistani army special forces team to extract and handover Laden from Kandahar to US.
Right after 911, I told everyone I knew that bin Laden had escaped Tora Bora and was staying at the Islamabad Hilton. If I could come this close so could our intelligence agencies. Bin Laden was a useful boogie man for making some real money off of war IMO.

International intelligence work is more drama and less actual espionage.
Having said that, this drama stretched far too much to remain enjoyable to the masses or to stay useful for the intel community.

More holes in this story than Tupac Shakur..
Foreigners in the comments are obsessing over Americans while we continue to live happily without ever acknowledging them or their country.
You know him as the guy who broke the story on Mỹ Lai massacre.
Should probs mention I havent read on the subject in years so I might be a bit off on the facts but as I recall that was the claim
@@SwagMoney420 the credentials are bunk, where is the proof for this? It isn't like Hersh is adverse to picking up random BS rumors and running with them based on nothing.

A-10 Warthog/Thunderbolt II video please?
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, ockhams razor postulates that it most likely is a duck.
@@noth606 Lol have you ever been to Pakistan? Every compound is “a couple of miles away” from a military academy. Obviously though you wouldn’t know this since you believe a robot duck quacking, sounding, and walking just like a real duck actually makes it a real duck.
I saw the effects of this war of the U.S. veterans who fought it and the community abroad who lived it. It gave me a perspective that was beyond terror or vengeance, but rather who really was profiting from this war.
I feel most sorry for Afghanistan.
