Thank you so much for testing and confirming these settings! I had some unexpected results, and this definitely helps a ton! I'm already seeing performance increases on my setup. I wasn't having a very difficult time running it on my AMD GPU, but I just wanted to optimize and squeeze a bit more out of my card. Time to go own some mobs even harder now.

Update this game is getting an FSR 3 patch sometime after FSR 3 releases which might help performance even more.
Hi, I just suscribed. One suggestion, I like your videos but when you make pauses and raise the volume of the music, the music is too loud, try to make these changes more suttle and maybe not as often. The video will look and sound better that way

for texture memory digital foundry in their last DF weekly they discussed Forspoken PC and they were saying that if you choose high or more model and texture memory and you don't have enough vram the texture won't load at all. what makes it worse is that the game doesn't not tell you how much vram each option needs and the gpu memory usage at the buttom is detecting wrong vram for a lot of cards
Yes I even tired Low on both Texture and Model Memory and the game still refuses to load all textures , it's a mess !

Variable Rate Shading is for dark areas. Only areas which are almost not visible will go low Resolution. Its like DLSS/FSR but only for dark areas.

Hi, so how do you recommend setting the texture memory and model memory?
Just don’t play the game, get a refund if you can
im getting more than 120fps but it drops and gets back to 120 10 time in 10 seconds any siloutions
is there any solution for the texture popping yet?
Hopefully the devs will watch your video and learn how to optimize their own game
I would keep clouds on standard/high, you can "optimize" settings if you don't lose an entire visual effect, for me is a no go. Also at least in the demo, I tried dynamic resolution WITHOUT DLSS and it worked pretty well, it did bump FPS significantly against native, but DLSS/FSR is better anyways
On 4k at least for me TAA looks the sharpest, FSR on quality with sharpness 50 not far off and pretty similar but some some reason DLSS just looks really blurry and destroys fine detail, plus the sharpness feature just adds nasty ringing halos if above about sharpness 20. I guess being an AMD game it wasn't tuned whereas FSR 2 was because the consoles also use it.

Best channel about optimization and testing games, thanks so much, your channel save me a lot of time and frustration testing settings by myself, I really appreciate your effort. Sadly this game is so heavy on my Gtx 1060 6gb even with the lowest settings I'm stuck at 28-31 fps

I have a question though : should I disable antialiasing when running fsr ? (in every game)
I mean, do it effects graphics when both of them on ? Or what happens when they both enabled?
Thank you , you can't change Anti Aliasing setting if you have DLSS or FSR enabled , you'll find it greyed out.
it's absurd how this game is so taxing with non existing lighting and no ambient occlusion whatsoever (there's just some baked in into textures gimmick of it)

For those who don't know, the demo version of Forspoken is available in the XBOX app for PC, I thought you could only play the DEMO on PlayStation, but apparently not.
Yes of course , Hogwarts Legacy is a big release , I can't miss it.
DLSS and FSR are more blurry compared to TAA though.

Honestly, you should keep everything on low, expect for the fog, and fsr on balanced
you need to reduce texture memory to standard and only play at 1080p to get the textures loading

Huge performance boost on recent patch, 30% more fps.
even latest version with "in tanta we trust" DLC sucks balls. 50-80fps on low 1080p with RTX3070. This game is bad joke. Not to mention constant stutters despite 32GB ram and NVMe 3.0GB/s drive.
Thanks for making this video! When a game has 4500 - 5500 mb gpu utilization despite selecting all LOW graphics options, you know the game is very badly optimized. What gets my goat is that I cant even figure out where all this performance goes? The game is not amazingly detailed with cutting edge grapics and textures like Cyberpunk, its not like the landscapes and enemies are as diverse as Elden ring either. The core gameplay isnt anything revolutionary so whats happening? Why is it using up so much of my gpu for loading up Frey and a bunch of rocks, grass, the sky and the same 3 or 4 types of enemies?
Its not like open world games are new or anything and we should need cutting egde hardware to load this game. Requirements and results are absolutely disproportionate. Even the recent 187mb update did not optimize the games performance, so I guess its a huge problem for the devs.
This is the WORST game created in terms of it's code quality. Thank you very much for attempting to fix someone else's mess haha! Keep up the GREAT work 😃

the game is fun but there are way to many problems... to bad, it had a potential.. maybe other games company will make somthing alike but with not so manny bugs.
Game performance is terrible. On i7 and 3070 it still has drops below 60fps with optimized settings (almost everything to low) on 3070. And it looks like all modern techniques like ray tracing and dynamic resolution do not work. Abandon this game, waste of money!
Better games who look 2x better hit 120fps on same PC...
