Maybe you could make a video for us console players to give tips or tricks so that we can compete in the air against PC in crossplay.

Hello Adam! I finally got the k4 after 4 weeks of grinding in my 288 My K4 already has the engine injection mod, and I just need to research mods related to weaponry. Problem is that every time I climb, I always see spacefires How do you counter it? After a short bnz, they are always at my tail! It's like they outturn me, outclimb me and outspeed me Any tips I can learn? ^^
Depends on the type of Spitfire. You're better off fighting the LF at high alt, and the rest of the Spitfires at low-medium alt. You need a significant energy advantage to BnZ them safely because they outturn you, and their climb is pretty close to yours.
Thanks for the tip! I'll try to keep my energy when I BnZ with my 109, Because I know that speed is blood for practically every late- war 109. Keep up the good work! Love your vids! ^^
Hmm make it look like you are slower than you are by not going directly away from them, spiral instead. You can also pretend you're about to go back into their gun sight but change direction before they get the shot.
So, what exactly did you do to nail that Spit for the third kill? I find passes like that to be the hardest to dodge, and he did pretty much what I would have done. Is it a matter of maneuvering too late, or did he just not pull as hard as he could have?

The prop pitch trick to increase thrust? I could have, but I was quite busy managing the overheating and making efficient maneuvers during the 1vs2 to safely use the extra thrust. At high altitude you overrev easier.
No it's the total energy of the aircraft, so kinetic energy (speed) and potential energy (altitude). With a significant energy advantage, you can fight multiple enemies relatively safely.
I imagine because opening up the radiators more slows the aircraft down. He did pop them to 50% now and then to cool off, then likely set them back lower so he could keep his energy up.
@@RedRocky54 opening them up to 50% in a plane that climbs at slower speed won't make big difference and in exchange you'll get wep until you run out of fuel

L'avantage quand on n'a accompli "que" 3 Ace in game c'est on s'en rappelle plutôt bien ^^
Ouais, pour le Bf 109, c'est vrai que c'est pas vraiment un gros problème tant qu'on est à la bonne vitesse.
Can I ask what software do you use to display the performance graphs of the aircraft and give us details of the performance of the aircraft?
The performance graphs are done manually by checking the speed and altitude of every aircraft in the replay and putting them in energy equations to create the graph on Matlab.
The characteristics box is the "local host".
How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.
Thanks, good video.
You would be encouraged to make a video about 'Manual Engine Control' (MEC)
Yeah I'll do a MEC video eventually!
Why do you keep radiators almost closed? Isn't it better to WEP for longer and having them open? I don't think they do much in terms of performance
On some planes like the G2Trop, opening them doesn't provide much cooling benefit, and they do create more drag and lower your top speed.
The amount of SL and RP gained in the match was too much that Adam had to cut it to avoid copyright strike hehehe nice fly Adam
Bill Gates would have copystriked me.
@@AdamTheEnginerd LoL XD
yes!!! my favorite bf 109! i got 5 kills in this thing. btw does this plane have bad rudder at high altitude? cuz im finding troubles on this plane on high altitude
Rudder is fine at all altitudes.
Also how did you see the p51 just before you shot him down comin down from the clouds at the end of the video?
I saw his dot through the clouds, you can see it in the video.
Great Video! You're an excellent pilot in a 109! Also, I have a proposition. I play on console and would love to get better at dogfighting. Your videos already help a lot, as I'm a novice, so even basic concepts are new to me. However, the nature of console makes performing complex manuevers and controlling parts of your plane extremely hard most of the time. Maybe you could make a video for us console players to give tips or tricks so that we can compete in the air against PC in crossplay.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, since I don't play on console myself, I'm not in a position to help out for console specifically. A lot of the PC tips apply to console as well though, like awareness.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Ah, that's alright then. I'll just apply the new strategies I learned from you to the best of my ability. Thank you for the great content!

@@AdamTheEnginerd in the video.
Against Spitfire and Mustang?
@@AdamTheEnginerd spitfire i think, not the 1v 2, before that.
Hello Adam! I finally got the k4 after 4 weeks of grinding in my 288
My K4 already has the engine injection mod, and I just need to research mods related to weaponry.
Problem is that every time I climb, I always see spacefires
How do you counter it? After a short bnz, they are always at my tail! It's like they outturn me, outclimb me and outspeed me
Any tips I can learn?
I will, thanks!
Can you give me tips on making my stall bait more enticing to the bandit for more consistent baits?
Hmm make it look like you are slower than you are by not going directly away from them, spiral instead. You can also pretend you're about to go back into their gun sight but change direction before they get the shot.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Thx!
@@AdamTheEnginerd Also me realizing i got the notification for this while watching the same video i commented this comment on:
Honestly the Bf 109 G2/trop, A6M2 and the P40 Warhawk are the best fighters at that BR
P40 and A6M are quite far from 4.3 BR.
10:29 more like 900+IQ howwww?? 😂😂 Nice one
Hahaha thanks!
Very good vid, the fight was intense and the chart is very interessant :)
Merci bien!
Nice video, can you do a video with the mig 15bis? I got it but its hellish to fly !
Thanks!
I actually did a Mig15Bis video a few months ago!
So, what exactly did you do to nail that Spit for the third kill? I find passes like that to be the hardest to dodge, and he did pretty much what I would have done. Is it a matter of maneuvering too late, or did he just not pull as hard as he could have?
He should have rolled and dove steeper when I got in range, which would force me to adjust my aim and at the same time present a smaller target.
@@AdamTheEnginerd So in other words he should have dove more vertical instead of trying to cut under you?
Cutting under me is good, but steeper angle earlier.
do you prefer to play with or without gun pods?
Adam, what's the name of the program, which shows flight info?
It's called the "local host".

It’s crazy how you make it look so easy
Haha I made it look easy? Both 1vs2s were tough.
Can you do a video with the Italian F-84G?
It's on my list!
I like your clever way of playing! Nice video!
Thanks man! Graphs = clever?
Adam514 now the graphs, the way you play.
Nice vid as always. Btw i have a request for you. Can you try out N1K1 or N1K2? Since there are no recent famous wt youtuber's vid on those and those are very interesting vehicles.

Adam, The Sarcy God Boi!
I salute you!
Uhm sarcy?
Do you full WEP while climbing with the 109s?
On tier 4 109s yeah, rest you need to burst it because MEC can't prevent overheating.
Those 151’s are so sensational.
I got loads of hits in this match.
Adam514 lol I use gunpods that’s why
Kept the energy advantage the whole time, was the chart using potential energy equation?
Potential + kinetic energy equations yes.
@@AdamTheEnginerd So it was total mechanical energy and you were summing the two equations?
Exactly!
30% Rads? Is there a difference between the 100% and 30% for cooling better?
A bit. But 100% still overheats the engine so...
@@AdamTheEnginerd for me atleast its a.bit more bearable
Why dont you use the prop pitch to grab more air at high altitude?
The prop pitch trick to increase thrust? I could have, but I was quite busy managing the overheating and making efficient maneuvers during the 1vs2 to safely use the extra thrust. At high altitude you overrev easier.
can i have a suggestion on which ammo should i use on Bf 109 ?
Stealth on MG and Air Targets on cannons.

As in optimal climb IAS?
I cant understand what you mean sory could you write again simply
What do you mean by "how to climb fast"?
@@AdamTheEnginerdits meaning when match start you need gain altitude I cant gain altidutu fast
Climb at around 260-270km/h IAS and you should be climbing pretty efficiently on most planes.
Is it possible for you to make a video on the spendergasta spit fr mk14e. Would be amazing
Premium? I don't have it unfortunately.
What does the graph indicate? Top speed at that altitude?
No it's the total energy of the aircraft, so kinetic energy (speed) and potential energy (altitude). With a significant energy advantage, you can fight multiple enemies relatively safely.
Yesss thank you
My pleasure!
mmmmmm graphs
Yummy tbh.
Make the German pilots proud
I fight for Lebensraum!
G2 doesn't overheat if you put radiators at 50% any reasons why you didn't do that?
Also I wish I had that graph next to me I'm air RB lol
I imagine because opening up the radiators more slows the aircraft down. He did pop them to 50% now and then to cool off, then likely set them back lower so he could keep his energy up.
@@RedRocky54 opening them up to 50% in a plane that climbs at slower speed won't make big difference and in exchange you'll get wep until you run out of fuel
It overheats at 100% anyway, so might as well get lower drag out of it.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I'll double check then
My bad it does over heat there
How much more involved is the MEC... would you say its worth it to use in tank RB?
It's not worth using in tank RB.
What is your opinion on gunpods for the g-2?
You should use gunpods if your aim isn't on point.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Thanks! I think I will try both as I am good with this plane and have it spaded.

Yup same thing for me, makes it hard to find good Axis footage.
