Some people, including myself, might be lost in translation and / or in figures of speech. " An usual glass of whiskey " means " 1 glass" ? ( she exceeded that number ) People doing alcohol on a regular basis ( " usual glass ", no ice-rocks ) should gain resistance, right? My favourite Kind Diamond knows tea is good for his multi-character playing voice! Dehidratation, warm small crowded venue can be beaten with whiskey, huh? The " Fuc* O** Mother&uc** " was for the bad social media people ( like us, maybe ). She " didn't feel apologetic ". Yep What if I want a refund, based on the shite I had to take? ( not mentioning driving 100 miles, lunch, day off wasted, car wear, etc. )
Poor thing. The guys had their work cut out for them. She maybe should have told people live what was going on sooner. Maybe someone could have helped get her a chair or the audience could have sung along. In Vegas after Butch had to go home for a really bad ear infection, their session musician from the first album had to get there quick. He only knew the old songs and Shirley couldn't remember most of the lyrics. She also had a stomach bug (probably from eating at one of the buffets in Vegas) and had to keep running back and forth to the bathroom, and so people helped her sing the songs. It was really lovely, even though the was clearly not feeling well and we missed Butch, too. If she mixed pain killers and booze, though, perhaps she didn't have the ability to really ask for help. Dangerous. Glad she was ok in the end. I wonder if the pain killers were after she had hurt her hip. Apparently she's finally gotten surgery for it.

I love Garbage. I was more concerned about her than annoyed that the end of the show was a bit of a train wreck. Its was an experience, but I hope she sorts it out or stops doing shows before this becomes what they are remembered for, and not decades of amazing music....

I think (hope!) It was simply a case of getting a little too drunk by accident. Easy done I guess. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about her situation enough to make comment any further. But last night I just wanted to help her off stage and give her a coffee :) . The first 3/4's were so so good, I dont feel I didnt get a good gig out of it. But I just hope this was a one off, and not the start of something more troubling.

During this show, Shirley mentioned that she had a fight with her dad earlier. That could have led to her pill/alcohol use. If it happens again, I'll agree it's a cause for concern. I was there paid good money to experience that! The tickets werent cheap for that size venue. Disappointed doesnt come close! The support band were better. Garbage were just riding that gravey train. Butch vig looked as disgusted as most of the crowd.
