    Another great video Jackie. Also, I love that all my favorite gearhead TH-camrs appear in each other's videos at these GRIDLIFE events.

    Loved the coverage, there's so little decent blog style Time Attack coverage on YT.
    Much appreciated.

    Awesome job this season Jackie. One note, maybe you could do a little overview of one of your main competitors during the event? It would have been cool for you to show what that EVO was running and why they were so fast right here in your video so I didnt have to go somewhere else to find out! Im sure they would appreciate the advertisement as well.

      That’s very much what our “Time Attack Rivals” series is aiming to do. It’s a little hard to film and edit, but we have another episode on Road-America-winning C5 coming out this week.

    Dont have a mirror, theres a reason for that because its in my hand lmao. Thats a pricey mirror, ouch! I dont know how anyone can race that fast in wet and cold, your an awesome racer!

    I think your problem was more wall thickness, infill % and maybe material choice on that 3D printed part. The first two for sure from what I saw. I use 3D printed parts in heavy load applications a lot, they can take it if done right!

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Got it! Will improve for future usage.

    • @TheFogmachine803

      @@JackieDing86 depending on the program wall thickness is also referred to as shell thickness. Good luck man.

    3D prints are super weak across the Z-plane (layer adhesion). You can change the orientation but an SLS part would hold up much better than FDM.

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the future, most likely going with a machined part ha. Good tip on the strength of 3D printing, will keep that in mind

    • @mattcaudell9972

    Pretty cool to see an actual race car go around Gingerman. I just did my first HPDE there a month ago.
    Felt like I was hauling ass, but you’re (unsurprisingly) almost 20 seconds/lap faster, haha.

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Times are always relative ha. Focus on the basics first if you’re just getting started!

      Very true. I had fun, and found the limits of my skill, which I would never have done on the street.
      Good luck in the future, Jackie.

    Hi Jackie, on your second session, you had the caption of little bit of left foot braking. Was that into the counter steer while keeping your right foot on the gas? I am still learning car control in different situations. Can you please share insight on how that works? Thanks in advance

    Hey Jackie, does the M4 in the team you mentioned have a channel? As a fellow M4 owner, who is building it out to be a road registered and driven time attack car in Australia, I’d love to see more on the build and progress as inspo... thanks 🙏

    Looks like the 3D printed part was sparse fill FDM, if you printed with a solid SLA it would be much stronger.

    Really nice driving technique, i wish you had throttle and brake overlay to get a better feel of what you are doing, no obd logging possibility in your lap timer?

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Supra platform is still super new so right now throttle and brake overlay from OBD is not possible. Maybe in the future.
