  • Hello there,
In this video, we develop the small keiki shoots that we separate from our orchids by taking them into the culture medium and prepare for our next study, Somatic Embryogenesis from Orchid Leaf. Thus, we will use the fresh leaves we obtain to produce clones of our mother orchid. We will see if we will be successful.

I send you a message on Instagram.
From where you buy your PP plastic containers. What are their sizes?
Can you confirm that 2000ppm is 2g/l.
Also, it is impossible to find the fongicide Carbendazi.
      Will try shortly.

    Hi Selim,
On the vinegar, I am guessing it's the acetic acid we need.
But how to get the 1% tiu used in your lab?
    I have two vinager bottles:
On one, I have 5 - 15% vinager alcohol and 12% acetic acid.
On the other bottle, I have only 7% acetic acid.
    Thanks.

I couldn't understand exactly what you mean. Do you ask about making Paracetic Acid (PAA) ?

      Hi Selim,
      Thanks for your reply.
You said to add 1ml of vinegar for the last minute.
I assume that you use the vinegar for acetic acid?
My problem is that I have two types of vinegar:
1 bottle with 7% acetic acid and another one with 12% vinegar acid+ 5-15% vinegar alcohol.
In the second, I have alcohol and will certainly harm the plant.
Wanted to know if I take the first one and should I use it diluted?

      @@HobiBotanik Thanks a lot Selim.
      Here you are using PAA.
In an old post, you used a silution of Ascorbic and Citric acids.
      Is it equivalent ?
I am asking it because I bought both acids.
      Please, clarify it.
      Thanks.

@@danieljheelan5256 No, That's are antioxidants, we use them to prevent tissue browning,
PAA is an oxidant and disinfectant like NaOCl (Sodium Hypocloride) or NaDCC, but much stronger. I used PAA for surface sterilization.
