Poke cakes are the absolute best, you poke holes in a fully baked cake, pour flavored gelatin over it, then cool. if you serve it with whipped cream as a topping 😋😋 My brother always wants it for his birthday and If I didn’t live for cheesecake, I would ask for it too
The_ Galaxy me for sure, but I love one I saw on Pinterest where they dumped caramel candies and popcorn into a hot frypan, put a bowl over top it and let it make caramel corn, I’m gonna try it, but make sure my smoke alarms not going when I do ! 😉

@@shayeberry83 oh but you can make amazing cakes without any food colouring or gelatine. I don't have anything against those ingredients, but it's definitely not a must. Natural colours will make the cake look pretty, if you mix raspberries with whipped cream you get a lovely pink colour. I have only eaten cake with gelatine a few times in my life and food colouring are only put into decorations, like a marzipan cover. If you make different layers in the cake, not fill it all with the same cream cheese filling (never eaten such cake either) you get a visually pleasing piece, as well as tasty. We usually have one layer with berries or jam, one with vanilla custard and the top layer with cream. You can vary it with mousse, curd, fruits, chocolate and many others. You definitely should try more types of cake. 😊
Of course. What is your issue with gelatin, though? There are certain things you're not going to be able to do without it. Is it a vegetarian issue? For food coloring you might want to look into natural coloring. The problem there is going to be cost.
I love the bee cake! I think I would make yellow cake with chocolate ganache between layers instead of chocolate cake w/ yellow frosting. I think it would look a little prettier. I would also make the bees out of melted chocolate or make tiny truffles with the yellow tinted white chocolate and use melted milk chocolate in a piping bag for the stripes/eyes :)
