If getting Kellin Quinn for the vocals was the reason Sonic Team lost the budget for unique Rhea and Ouranos, then I sure as hell think it was worth it.
I really like how Ouranos looks, even if it looks similar to Kronos. Rhea on the other hand, I have no idea what happened there. It's literally the other half of Kronos. The platforming was cool, I don't even care that much that it wasn't a full "island" with all the usual collectibles, challenges, etc, since at least it's different, but why not just make a brand new island the size of it?

Ever since I went face to face with Giganto, this song was playing in my head. Thank you SEGA and Sonic Team for bringing us this amazing franchise to life.
So glad I played it spoiler free. I felt like a kid again! I was so immersed in this first playthrough that I went on screaming and grunting like I was super sonic with every blow! It felt cathartic. Like seeing a part of yourself in the past that you thought was long gone. And this was the first boss!!
As someone who grew up in the 2000s playing the more shonen-esque Sonic games, Frontiers awakened the inner child in me. If this came out after 06 or Unleashed, I would’ve had a heart attack from the sheer amount of adrenaline and badassery going on.
There’s something about the last 20 seconds of Undefeatable that really hits me. It’s like after all this fighting and chaos, everything mellows out as the characters get a breather. Feels like It’d show a protagonist winning but looking around after the fight to see the destruction. They see their friends before passing out from their tiredness.
Man, Sega never screws up on making awesome songs for awesome games. Doesn't matter if its yakuza, lost judgement or Sonic, the ost will always be fantastic.
I find that no matter the game, their is always awesome music. Music always reaches the heart, and theirs always goes 💘 SEGA puts a lot of great focus into their music. Even if the game sucks, they make sure the music is at least good enough to love.
getting kellin quinn on this song was one of the smartest decisions sonic team has done for music wise holy shit, the same people who made sonic forces created sonic frontiers, that just feels so unreal to me. absolute banger!

I haven't been this hyped during a Sonic boss since first hearing "Open your Heart" fighting Perfect Chaos. And this is the FIRST BOSS OF THE GAME. Fuck yes.
Sonic is actually making a comeback. I’m not saying Frontiers is a perfect 10/10 but it’s a great step in the right direction for the series that makes me want to play the next game. The Sonic movies are pretty good as well. Must feel good to be a Sonic fan right now.

I honestly don't mind the cyberspace music like some do, but I think it shows how the EDM music is much more effective in small doses.

That's not a story, but it is actually a *plot structure* Sometimes clichés should be avoided altogether, but execution is what makes the difference between an epic unforgettable adventure and literary garbage.

I played Sa1 for the first time in like ealy 2011. And when i heard open your heart while fighting perfect chaos, I got fucking hype! Same with Sa2 in live and learn against the final hazard. Best feeling I ever had in my life. And when times were tough recently, playing fronties till the Giganto boss fight and listening to this, I felt that feeling again! as well as fighting the other titans. I had the good fortune of not having anything spoiled for me about this game except that 'the bosses go hard'. You don't really appreciate what that means until Super Sonic floats into frame, the vocals fade in, and... Gives me chills.
I've never played a Sonic game before. I picked up frontiers, started playing it, yeah pretty fun. The movements good, the voice acting was pretty good. Definitely a good game. Then I got to this
As hype as the song is, I think my favorite part goes to the closing but at 4:00. It sounds almost like a reflection on how many times someone or something has tried to take down Super Sonic but failed. "Been down this road before, already know this story."
Games have more inspired music than most modern popular bands. I’d say it’s been that way since around 1999, and even then, games prior to that such as Sonic CD have amazing high-quality soundtracks.
I love the balance between going ridiculously hard and supporting healthy work boundaries. Sonic is NOT going to miss the holiday he has booked at the beginning of June.

@@orion_x-000 I think they actually only were able to use the 100 Rings that you get if you have less than 100 when you get the last emerald. It's not enough to beat Giganto, but I actually like that fact--it doesn't hold the player's hand if they mess up, they gotta deal with the consequences of their actions, something that the game seems to push through it's level design in a fair way.

I felt like a kid again! I was so immersed in this first playthrough that I went on screaming and grunting like I was super sonic with every blow! It felt cathartic. Like seeing a part of yourself in the past that you thought was long gone. And this was the first boss!!

As someone who grew up in the 2000s playing the more shonen-esque Sonic games, Frontiers awakened the inner child in me. If this came out after 06 or Unleashed, I would’ve had a heart attack from the sheer amount of adrenaline and badassery going on.

There’s something about the last 20 seconds of Undefeatable that really hits me. It’s like after all this fighting and chaos, everything mellows out as the characters get a breather.
Feels like It’d show a protagonist winning but looking around after the fight to see the destruction. They see their friends before passing out from their tiredness.

I honestly don't mind the cyberspace music like some do, but I think it shows how the EDM music is much more effective in small doses.

Sometimes clichés should be avoided altogether, but execution is what makes the difference between an epic unforgettable adventure and literary garbage.

As hype as the song is, I think my favorite part goes to the closing but at 4:00. It sounds almost like a reflection on how many times someone or something has tried to take down Super Sonic but failed. "Been down this road before, already know this story."

I'm stumped on what to say. This song came out of nowhere, and I felt something inside kick. It's like I was held down by chains of the bad, and I wanted to break free.
Nothing is more satisfying then boosting right up to Giganto’s face when the 0:13 Part plays.

despite being kinda peeved at first when i couldnt figure out why there was not enough time to kill the boss i still love this encounter way too much got so hyped in my living room and couldnt stop from headbanging.
Tip: Use the cycloop to gather rings. This should be enough to make the boss fight a little more tolerable.
Are you saying you used up all 400 rings? I sure hope not
@@orion_x-000 I think they actually only were able to use the 100 Rings that you get if you have less than 100 when you get the last emerald. It's not enough to beat Giganto, but I actually like that fact--it doesn't hold the player's hand if they mess up, they gotta deal with the consequences of their actions, something that the game seems to push through it's level design in a fair way.
