Definitely trying July next time, it should be a very beautiful state when it’s sunny. Matter fact, when I was in Eastern Oregon/Washington in August, it’s very sunny there (I guess the cascade blocked the clouds) and it’s very beautiful there.
The most common stereotype. It does rain a lot but it's not even in the top 10 when it comes to most precipitation. The thing up here aside from rain is the constant gray overcast.
Thank you! For this video, I was playing music in the car so I could not upload the raw sound due to copyright issue. But I will have a lot of original sound (ASMR) and real speed driving videos in LA, Las Vegas and many stunning freeway in the West (e.g. Glenwood Canyon Colorado, Columbia River Oregon, Virgin River Gorge Arizona, San Rafael Reef Utah…) coming in 2025!
I was on my way to San Francisco to catch a flight the next day, no time to waste haha😉😉 But even if I’m not in a rush, I still like to drive fast and overtake cars🤣
Wow, this 4K time-lapse really captures the beauty of the Pacific Northwest! 🚗💨 The transition from Vancouver's vibrant cityscape to Seattle's iconic skyline is mesmerizing. Did you encounter any memorable landmarks or scenic spots along the I-5 South that you'd recommend for a road trip stop?
Haha thanks, I should've started from downtown Vancouver but I was sort of in a rush... If you have time, I actually recommend stopping in Portland and drive on I-84 in both direction along the Columbia River, it's very stunning, easily one of the top 5 US freeways. I-5 South from Eugene to Shasta Lake should be quite scenic if it is sunny, but anything of I-5 South of Shasta Lake is very boring until you reach LA in my opinion. Sadly for this trip, I did not really stop for any scenic spots (it was a work trip to the Bay Area and I just squeezed some time to visit my friends in Vancouver), so I do not really have any recommendation for that.
It's been fairly hot and dry this last summer... guess it just happened to be wet when you did this video... I live just south of Mount Vernon... would like to come visit BC more, but it's always been a hassle to get thru the border agents asking so many questions on "why I'm doing a road trip up north." ugh.
I visited in both April and August, guess I’m unlucky haha. Hmm… it’s quite easy for me to get across the border, I just told them I’m visiting my friends and doing a road trip🤣
One big difference in Vancouver, is that there's no "freeway" that cuts thru the city to get you directly into downtown, unlike Seattle with its I-5 freeway cutting thru the whole city and getting you directly into downtown... as someone coming from "the states," I gotta drive thru the regular roads from Richmond to get into downtown Vancouver... ugh...
I totally understand your frustration… it takes me like half an hour just to drive like 6 miles in Metro Vancouver, and it kinda sucks. And those regular roads aren’t big roads either, they are mostly small streets (at least that’s what the navigation directed me into). But the Sea to Sky Highway in North Vancouver is quite scenic and worth a visit.
This year 2024 The Pacific West Coast didn’t have the greatest summer weather, a real mix of cool & warm weather and mix of sun & cloud with summer showers. In 2022 & 2023 we had a heat wave.
I visited for the first time last September. All the litter and graffiti in Seattle REALLY ruins all the beauty of the area. Looked very ghetto and ugly.
There’s not a single day in the year that this part of the world is not raining
I went to the Pacific Northwest twice this year, both times it’s either rainy or cloudy😭 if it’s not cloudy this drive should be fairly scenic I guess
@@DriveNRoam try July and August

Summers are warm and very dry. You need to come in the summer. BTW the sun was out today and it's December.

Great video, thanks for uploading.
I would like it with original sound for some reasons haha

Holy crap, how fast were you going up the grade just south of Mount Vernon?!?
I don’t remember the number, but the video is sped up so it looks like I’m blasting thru the traffic, in reality I’m just cruising 🤣

Why am I watching this? Do this route some many times a year to visit daughter & family in Seattle. 🚗🚗🚗🚗
So many memories are related to driving right?😄
Nice video ❤❤❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
1:04 interesting choice of going to Westminster instead of exists off knight into the 91 and then onto 99
I wanted to take the 91, but I missed the exit and had to take Knight streets and 99 🤣

I hope it will be great in 2025!
Good job with the overtaking, highway should not be slow

It’s worst when u get to Tacoma haha, u can see it in my other videos, I think it’s worst than LA tbh
@DriveNRoam how long it took you to get from Seattle to Portland
@@seattlewashington172 Around 3.5 hours, it was all jammed up
you mobbin
abuse the hov next time
Washington's roads are total trash
I-5 is very congested lol
Actually, Washington ranks near the top on infrastructure.
@@michaeltipton5500 the roads are paved alright, the problems are those left exits. designing left exits is like begging for traffic jam
