Looking at this video reminded me of the times I made Brunswick Stew with my mom, grandmother and great grandmother. Seeing these amazing ladies reminds me of all the memories of the love and laughter sitting around that cast iron potbelly pot. This is how I remembered Brunswick Stew being made with the hog head meat. Thanks for making and uploading this video. I will definitely be making some soon.
My dad moved us from Youngstown to SW Virginia in 76. 2 years ago I had to move my family Midwest. Your videos make me miss the Appalachian mountains friend. God Bless You!
Fantastic looking recipe, I am going to try with squirrel, rabbit and pheasant. Wonderful time with your beautiful family, makes the food even better. Thank you, Dave Capolupo from Connecticut.
I just had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful family through my amazing friend Alana. Thank you for Alana, but also thank you for this amazing family!!!! Wayne Dec 28, 2022
Wayne. Your fellowship with our family has been such an Unexpected and Pleasant gift! We are so Grateful to Alana for introducing us to You! I especially enjoyed your visit to Pungo Boys BBQ today! Sharing stories and getting to know a bit more about you my friend is pure delight!
MY, MY. MY, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. AND I CAN HEAR AND SEE THE LOVE. KISS TALI GIRL, SENDING LOT OF LOVE FROM HAMPTON COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA. THANKS BILL FOR SHARING 😀
Bill, that was fantastic from start to finish. I love tagging along with you and Tallygirl at the camp, around the camp fire. The Brunswick stew look awesome. I like the special pot liquor you top it off with. My late daddy woulda put his blessing on that pot. You have a wonderful family. Nothing like it. I have a big one on both sides myself. It's good to see people in America still gather around and give thanks together from the heart. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos. Enjoyed !
Hey Dixon! That was some great looking Brunswick Stew. When I was a Scout we always made wild, meat Brunswick stew in a large Cast Iron kettle in February. Cooked it outside with direct fire. Had to take turns stirring the pot non-stop. Thanks for firing up some good memories!! Awesome 👍 video! PS: you need your own outdoor TV show!
Wonderful Bill , Thank You for sharing your holiday with us , I have to disagree with your cousin , we do cook like you in Ohio . I will be making your Brunswick stew in a few months the same way you made it .

I will try this, I have a nutria and a muskrat in the freezer. And I was born in Brunswick, Germany!
@Kristin j.r. tate like Chicken and duck
Ha Ha! No doubt Kristan j.r.! Where have you been? Missed you!
We have both muskrat and nutria here on the Pungo Prairie VENATUSde.
Did anyone happen to write down the ingredient list for this? I'm going to cook this with some buddies on a camping trip this spring!
Dan, email me, bill@pungoprairie.com I will send it to you. Thanks for watching!
A tablespoon or so of Worcestershire sauce.
More like a 1/4 cup! 😂🇺🇸

Maybe I missed it but did you season that chicken before browning? if so, with what?
Cindy I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper. The other seasonings I mention in the video I added to the pot. Thanks for watching!
🇺🇸 👍 😁 don't ever start a cooking show... I dont want to go up another britches size.😆 😂
